St. Croix Mojo Bass Casting Rod MBC79HF ~ Opinions ?
I bought a 7-6 MH Veritas for the same reason. I'm not sure that's the pole you want but maybe the 7-9 H Veritas. I bought mine a while back for $69.99. I don't have much of an opinion to offer because I haven't had the right opportunity to throw it. http://www.manventureoutpost.com/products/Abu-Garcia-1324591-Veritas-Casting-Rod-7'9"-Heavy-036282615779.html?google=1&gclid=CjwKEAiA9JW2BRDxtaq2ruDg22oSJACgtTxcUPOxqjw-JiTkxLsfc7hxMvc3lZnf8neXMKJyWmY0QRoC3Y3w_wcB Here's a link for $56 but I think their shipping rates are high.

New Year - New Gear
Do you usually glue your TRD worm to the mushroom head jig?

New Year - New Gear
I probably am in the running for the "spent too much money in the winter award". I got 5 new rods. 1) G Loomis NRX spinning rod 2) Dobyns Champion Extreme spinning rod 3) St Croix Avid X casting rod 4) Daiwa Zillion casting rod 5) Dobyns Fury 705CB 3 Daiwa Tatula 100 reels, a Fuego spinning reel, all the stuff for the NED rig, a box of Keitech swimbait supplies, crankbaits from Japan. Ugh...no wonder where all my money went. I'm anxious to try it. Are there certain types of days where the NED rig shines? I'm thinking maybe blue bird skies and flat water??

team daiwa vibration
http://www.tackletour.com/reviewdaiwatdvibration.html I don't know if this is of any use
-
1st NRX
Tubes, shakey heads, t-worms, maybe drop shot. Bottom contact baits
-
1st NRX
Maybe slowly. At under $370 I thought I could put my toe in the water. If I don't like it I could probably break even.

Help me decide
Such a slight difference in gear ratio but what you are proposing makes sense.

Best spinning reel in $60-$80 range?
Find one that's worth $100+ on sale. Always deals on Ebay.
-
1st NRX
Sounds like it. You'd better score a personal best this year. My goal is a 6 pound smallmouth
-
1st NRX
Get you one EllisJuan. It's all your fault I'm in this mess
-
1st NRX
I'm stoked my first ever NRX should arrive later this week. Thanks to EllisJuan for pointing out the sale over at MFT. After much thought I ended up getting the 842s sjr for a versatile 7' rod. Looking forward to joining the club however even at the sale price it may be my last.

Picasso Undressed Shockblade
I fell prey to an email from MFT last night. These undressed shock blades look like a nice variety for swimbaits. Anybody gives these a try yet? I'm sure they have a real erratic retrieve.
-
Swimbait underspin heads
Probably the same seller. I'm looking forward to trying them in the spring.
-
Swimbait underspin heads
Yep just use Google. Found a seller on Ebay that sells 3 for $10. Haven't used them yet but nice looking baits. I'd tell you what the website was but I honestly don't know. I just threw a few key words in a Google search.

Help me pick baitcasting reels for a few rods
I haven't used them yet but I bought 3 Tatulas this offseason. They get great reviews. Plus you can find them for $94 on Ebay. Plus you can get up to 2 Daiwa/Huk hoodies right now valued at $50+ each. What are you waiting for??

Small jigs on spinning gear
I hear what you're saying but skirted jigs are more intimidating to me. I fish Lk St Clair so drifting and dragging tube jigs is a very effective manner of catching fish. If the other jigs fish similar to tube jigs I should pick it up pretty fast. Just have never done it before.

Small jigs on spinning gear
842s sjr From what I read sounds more closer to MH than M.

Small jigs on spinning gear
I just ordered a NRX spinning rod that I plan to use for bottom contact baits. I thought I'd add this to the mix.

Small jigs on spinning gear
Thanks for the suggestion. What would you use for a trailer? Is a beaver bait sufficient? I fish tubes alot already. I'm trying to venture into jig fishing.
-
Small jigs on spinning gear
I'd like to learn to fish jigs this year but I'd like to start with small jigs on spinning tackle. Any suggestions on good smaller profile jig maybe say 1/8 ounce to 1/4 ounce that I could tip with a beaver bait or something like that? Thanks.

BPS Classic - dissapointing turnout
I went to BPS on Friday and bought nothing. I bought a GLX online on Saturday so I had money to spend. But BPS had nothing to offer me. Too bad their loss.
