  2. the silica gel packages that come with shoes to control moisture (little white package with small balls in it.... is there a better way to describe that?) has any one ever tried putting these packages in with their hooks to try and prevent rust? just a thought i had
  3. id have to agree with the dobyns. i will recommend another rod to look into tho and thats the denali jadewood series rod
  4. i use left handed so i dont have to switch. but i have a couple of righties. in the end its personal preference along with a few seconds. those few seconds could catch you a winner on tourney day tho! (if your that worried about it)
  5. i try and shop there often but some of his prices are outrageous small spool of seagusr red label he wants 17 dollars.. if hes the only that has it i buy it otherwise i cam go anywhere else and get it for 13 i usually buy mostly crappie jigs and soft plastics from him. small stuff thats priced decent.

  8. i have a couple that say that. i use my lead pot still. i just have to get the mold really hot to pour it so it doesnt set to fast. what mold is that?

  11. i think some call them puffball jigs. most people use them on small mouth. there tied so that they look like a ball with strands sticking out everywhere. i can post a pic if you dont know what im talking about.. does anybody know how to tie these!? please teach me!

  14. duckett is a good rod. caught some hogs on it flipping and throwing wacky rigs. another rod to check out is the denali jadewood. 100 dollars and an well built rod
  15. dirty water you have to try it! i threw jigs and soft plastics that color a lot last year and kept getting bit in dirty water. caught 1 over 5 and a couple around 4 lbs. me and my partner were asking eachother what that bait resembles in the water. we never figured it out, but we kept throwing it.
  16. i know you said new.. but i would definitely look in the used area as well. you can get some extremely nice boats. set up with electronics and all the works in that price range. the tracker you said is a nice boat though. fished out of a tracker many times. good luck!

  18. my ritual is scratching my head on every trip out wondering when the fish are gonna bite. in all seriousness. i dont have a ritual or any superstitions.
  19. my skippings fairly good. weightless senkos and texas rigged beavers i have no problem with but jigs really give the trouble when skipping. but pitching is another story, i have no issues in that area
  20. i like throwing a punch skirt in real brushy areas with a texas rigged trailer, rarely get snagged and slides through grass nicely
  21. i release all bass. better tasting fish out there imho. and i cant bear the thought off keeping a fish that i could catch later and it weighs 5 lbs lol bluegill, catfish, sauger/walleye, rainbow trout, crappie, white bass id rather eat those
  22. wish i had a power plant lake closer. fairly warm weather later this week. might have to make my first trip.
  23. anybody else practice flipping and pitching jigs as well as skipping lures while waiting for the cold weather to break? ive barely survived this off season by watching youtube videos and practicing pitching and skippings jigs. what do you do to pass the off-season?
  24. poptart on the drive. and a bag of powdered donuts throughout the day usually does the trick. and lots of water
  25. if you need a reel to pair it with. anazon has the tatula for 100 dollars!
