  1. I think the CBR845 would probably best fit your needs.
  2. Tin's a big believer in those KVD hooks. He's the one who convinced me to try them.
  3. KVD isn't just promoting them, he had a hand in designing them. Those hooks aid in keeping a fish hooked and they don't have a problem hooking fish. In this year's Classic and in his win at Kentucky Lake, he brought in several fish that were hooked in the back, not the mouth. I think if they will hook a fish in the back that slashes at the bait, surely they will hook the fish that inhale the bait.
  4. Hook sizes vary a lot. Your most common all around size is probably a 4, maybe a 6. I've noticed that you have been using deep cranks a lot here lately. Most deep cranks use size 2. It would help a lot to know which baits you are talking about. As for hook brands and color, I really like Owner Stingers in black chrome. I have some Mustad KVD Elite trebles to try. They look promising. I'm not a big believer in red trebles but I know some people that are. We both catch fish so I really think it's personal preference.
  5. That and he never put fresh water in the livewells, even after adding the ice you have to change the water out every 3 or 4 hours and add more ice. Not with additives and a good recirculator

    You're terrible. ;D
  7. I think the engineer at Fuji who came up with that seat should be hung from his little toes. It's made for people with small hands and fingers. >
  8. The Browns have better second and third strings? Their coach may be more aggressive since most coaches are real conservative during the pre season. Or it could simply be that the Browns have less to lose. I know not to take much from the pre season. But I do like watching the games to see what the second string and the rookies can do.
  9. Well I'm probably a little over optimistic. The first string O barely had any reps so there isn't much to take from that. I don't think Simms looked good. Smith has a strong arm but made some rookie mistakes, no biggy there. I'm not sure what to think about LeGarrete Blount. He didn't seem to be a very hard runner tonight. We'll see. It's like you said though, way too early to tell much of anything.
  10. Well VY looked pretty good. He should've thrown the ball away instead of try and force the ball giving up the interception. Chris Simms just looked terrible. I think Rusty Smith looks decent. He has a strong arm. I hate to see the injury to Stafon Johnson. He looked pretty good tonight. Ran hard. Looked extremely painful and I have no idea how he stood up after that. I'm not sure about our defense. As for the Seahawks, the receivers look pretty good and Whitehurst really impressed me.
  11. Hey Glenn! The Titans are in town tonight. VY led an impressive opening drive. Passes looked good. The new offensive line hasn't looked too bad yet. Let's Go!!!
  12. I'm not very superstitious. The whole banana thing doesn't really bother me. It actually has some facts to it. Back in the 1800s, sailors did not want to be on ships carrying bananas from the jungles to America. They knew that a lot of people died on those voyages. However, the cause was from a very deadly spider that live in banana trees and sometimes came aboard these ships. Logic
  13. I think I heard that he put too much ice in his wells. His well temperature was about 20 degrees cooler than the lake level and that shocked the fish.
  14. Burley, we are looking at moving on to fish in the state level and hopefully the national level as well. Thanks for the responses so far.
  15. I'm not talking about the Professional level. We are in the beginnings of creating a small, local club. We would like our club to affiliate with either the Federation Nation or the Bass Federation. I'm sure there are members who have fished in clubs in either Federation and I was just wondering what everybody liked and dislike about each.
  16. For those of you who have fished in both, which do you like more, the Bass Federtaion (FLW) or Federation Nation (BASS)? We have a local club starting and we're trying to decide on affiliating with one of these. Thanks in advance.
  17. In the first picture of the square bill it appears there is a seam running down the middle. Do these use a through wire harness?

Dwain, I've always admired your talent man. Good to see you on here.

I agree with Catt. The majority of the time my weight is moving free. Even flipping grass and punching mattes.
  20. Ok, I found out that this particular boat is made by a company in Arkansas named River Trail Inc. Has anyone ever heard of this company and do they know anything about it?
  21. All I've been able to find is info on their glass boats. This is a 18' aluminum bass boat with a 115hp Mercury on it. I think it's a 2001 model.
  22. Has anyone heard of or had any experience with a line of aluminum boats under the brand name Fish Master? They are linked to Travis Boating Centers. I can't find anything about the brand except some bad experiences with a line of fiberglass saltwater boats.
  23. Lucky Craft has a great quality control department. That is part of the reason you pay more for them. You can be pretty sure that your Lucky Craft bait will run straight when you take it out of the package and that it will come with sharp hooks. Strike King, as well as some others, cost less but may need more work to turn into a great fish catching bait. Sometimes they need tuning to run right. Sometimes they have extra plastic at the seams. Some crack easily or have hook hangers pull out. Most of the time, they also come with low-quality trebles. The reason why Skeet would throw a different brand bait over LC is because LC doesn't make a bait for every action. Crankbaits can wiggle, wobble, flash, and sound different. What the fish wanted may not be in the product line up of LC. No biggie.
