  1. I am not sure, because she already has two, and, I am the only one she does this for. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. However, I am sure, she would be willing to adopt a brother, as long as they are willing to live in Oregon, and help take care of the 23 acre farm she has there. Dig post holes, fix fence, rebuild her barn, etc, etc, etc,, why do you think I live in Georgia,, hahahahhahahahaha, jk, however, I have spent many a day working on her property for her since her divorce 12 yrs. ago. and she does this kind of thing for me when ever she can, so it kinda evens out over time.
  2. While out in Oregon on vacation, my sister hands me this brown paper sack, and tells me it is a present from her. She went garage sale shopping and found these items and bought them for me. the first item I pull out is a Pflueger progress fly reel. Next I pull out another fly reel, It is a Plueger Gem. Next I pull out a red Abu Ambassaduer 5000 with what looks like Mother of Pearl for crank handles. Next out of the bag is a giant, 10 in. diving crank bait in blue and silver but no brand name on it. Then I reach in and the last item in the bag is a Wards Sport King model 2GB single action baitcaster, with some sort of greenish(jade) colored trim around the side of the reel with the crank handle, and it seems to be in perfect working order. I was like this is to cool. My sister really takes care of her "little" brother,,,
  3. We used to have the same type of problem on the Columbia River, over Sturgeon. The Asians and Russians did not buy licenses, did not abide by slot limits, or any limits for that matter. I watched one Fish and Game officer write $4,000.00 in tickets to one family. He confiscated thier gear, fish everything. They were back the next week, new gear, same attittude about the limits, size restrictions, etc...... They did not speak english, and did not care about the tickets... After about 20 arrests were made over a month long period, they finally started to get the idea something they were doing was illegal, and stayed away for a long time(or found a new fishing spot). I am of the opinion that if you can not read and understand the basic hunting and fishing laws, and are willing to abide by them, you should be arrested every time you commit a violation.,,, jmo.
  4. Use a big sheet of cardboar and make a template then trace it onto the plywood.... best way I have found.
  5. I am going back home to Oregon for a week to see my family. Wife and I are getting a well deserved vacation. We are flying out this afternoon. I just wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and my your new year be filled with happiness, prosperity, and double digit bass.
  6. There is one less peice of garbage in this world now, and it is a very good thing! They should have let him swing until the rope rotted in two. To all our military folks over there, keep your eyes open and your heads down, cause his lunatic followers will surely try to get revenge... I was wondering if the new government over there would really have the "balls" to do it... guess they did, for the betterment of the world. In the words of John Anderson, Yea, he's a 'Swingin" Good riddance to bad rubbish.

  8. Have you thought about JB Weld?? That stuff is awesome on metal. I fixed a gas tank on a car once.. with it still leaking gas.... held for the 8 yrs. I had the car anyway.
  9. I live in Cartersville area, not sure where Varner is, but I'll take that bet your gonna regret I'm the best that's ever been. They don't have an emoticon that plays the fire out of a fiddle here. ;D Varner is in Newton County near Covington. It is one of the lakes that Randall guides on, and catches a lot of his hawgs on.... And I make no claims to being the best,,not for a year or two anyway,,, but lets get some guys out there and have some fun.

  13. That is all I have ever used to upload my pics,,, never have used a hosting site...
  14. Gene, Here is the link I was reading http://www.finishing.com/281/30.shtml The specifications for pressure-treated lumber have changed. The new ACQ lumber has a high copper content and corrodes fasteners and aluminum that were protected formerly. We are starting to use ceramic coated fasteners. What kind of barrier can be used to protect the aluminum extrusions and aluminum coil from interaction with the ACQ lumber? Will wrapping the lumber with tyvek or some other building wrap be sufficient?
  15. I am not sure, am trying to find the site I read this on,, will keep you posted.
  16. If any of the guys in the Atlanta area are interested in a jon boat tourney for members,,, ring me up, lets see what we can do,,, we can fish Varner,
  17. Works for me, maybe try deleting all your cookies, etc.. then restarting your machine..
  18. I have read that the chemicals in treated lumber react with the aluminum and cause structure problems... Any one else heard this???? John
  19. Man, you guys are being ruff on LBH,, but then the "little" guys always get the "short" end of the stick!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  20. I think this is a great idea, and will look forward to seeing what everyone has to offer for information.. However, I am to new to bass fishing to offer much... but will try and come up with something....
  21. LBH, now that is a great idea!!!!!!!!
  22. You are gonna be hard pressed to find what you are wanting. For starters, most guys with outboards on thier boats think they are made of gold... because they are so expensive to replace. I paid 700.00 for just a bare 14 ft. jon boat and trailer.... I then had to get TMs, batteries, depth finder, etc... now, I am decking it, I will have 1600.00 invested in it. (my wife isnt looking is she?? : :-X :-X) I am a big guy also, 6'3" and about 300 lbs.. my 14 ft. boat is plenty stable enough for me to stand up in and fish, and someone in the back as well. If you want something specific, you are gonna pay for it, if you are willling to buy a basic boat and trailer and do the work yourself, then you will get more bang for your buck. Just something to consider.
  23. Waiting on the guru of Ultra Soft to weigh in...... OHHHHHHHH Roadwarrior, where are you??????????? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  24. Duece, my mistake, you are correct... must have had to many things on my mind lol... like this coming weekend.. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  25. LBH, you have had those "tendencies" for a long time, glad you finally admitted to them...
