RW, I feel the same way about the runner and gunners... everyone has thier own style, but it doesnt make sense to me to not take my time.... to me it is like still hunting thru the timber... 2 or 3 steps forward then stop for 5 min. and watch... 2 or 3 steps forward... etc.... that is how you find the big boys... The muley buck hanging on my wall was bedded down watching me, , If I had not been hunting that slow I would have walked right past the biggest rack of my hunting career... he is 33 in. between the horns.

Just my 0.02 worth.. but I am running a 14ft. jon with 3 50 lb. thrust Minn Kotas. I have one battery hooked to each motor, and it will get me anywhere I want to go all day long... I have found that by keeping my Large A$$ ;D : in the front of the boat, it runs a lot better and quicker. this is with a cooler, tackle, rods, and rest of the gear.. Before I would spend 5 grand on an all electric motor, I would look at the bigger TMs available... or go with the 9.9 gas motor.

That would get you a ticket on Varner. No gas engines allowed period. Even if it doesnt work. Almost all of the drinking water resevoirs are that way.... St. Mtn. is one that allows limited hp, as does I believe Fort Yargo. bckpack, pm me if you are interested in doing some fishing... I have a boat, and live 10 min. from Varner.

Does anyone know where you can get the brackets and items needed to convert a standard mount TM to one that can be lifted out of the water like a regular bow mount???? I am curious if anyone makes one that is affordable.... I can not justify buying a new motor with the brackets and such when I have 3 perfectly good tiller tms... I have turned the head on one for the bow,, but would like to be able to lift it out quickly when needed like in a stump field, etc........

WM Superstores this weekend.... bought some flw jigs and some Kinami baits all about half price, and a golden rule for 7.00,,, ,am going back, they have Shimano Spirex reels at one for 35.00 Normally 55.00. Wow, I am blown away.... I always figured everyone on here were stand up type of guys, but now I am positive... LBH, I look forward to hearing from you.... I have heard of one technique that is basically like rewinding a movie in your mind. However, I have not found a "counselor" that uses this technique anywhere near me.. Hey guys, This is the message I sent to Avid a couple of months ago. I guess I finally got the nerve to come public with it. I have read and reread this thread, and I think you are doing a really good thing here. I wonder if I qualify. My broken fin is in my head. Over the last 10 yrs or so I have developed a severe phobia about driving especially on the freeway or going over bridges.... I completely shut down, have full blown panic attacks. I do not drive anywhere hardly except to work and around home. I fish only those lakes I know where they are and have been to them before.... Sometimes it will hit me when I am pulling my boat,, that is real scary... When I went back home to go elk hunting, I freaked out on my brother, for his driving on the mountain roads,, roads I have been on since I was 8 yrs. old... My doctor reccomended a Psych, but my insurance does not cover that, so I am no closer to fixing this than when it first started..... He said he could give me a medication, but I know about those anti anxiety drugs,,, I would be sitting in the corner drooling.... I would just as soon this not go public,,,,, I am really embarassed by it, since I know it is all mental, and I can not beat it..... It kills me sometimes, I am driving along just fine,, then all of a sudden I am tensing up, feeling my chest tighten, getting tunnel vision, feel like I am passing out.... distractions do not help, my wife has tried, music dont help, nothing.... I am beginning to think that I am doomed to stay in my own little world of 20-30 miles...... That is one reason I did not sign up for the Lake Fork Trip...... No way I could drive it. John Man, I hope the Broken Fin Fishing Fools has a mental ward..... ;D

I have not used the 250, but I do have a 242 that I really like. It works like a champ. The only difference in them, I believe, is that the 242 does not have GPS.

I bought a 7 ft. MH BPS Extreme Spinning rod for my worms and jigs, still have not got the reel I need for it, but my birthday is coming the first of March and all I am asking for is BPS gift cards or cash......
