Broken Fin Fishing Fools
after looking at the rig, I think that is ingenious,, one questions though, how do you keep the rattle in the tube if it goes in last??? Or am I just missing something :-[

Trailering bow ring
My thought is to go to a machine shop and have them mill you a block of aluminum that will replace the wood block, they can drill the hole(s) and everything, the epoxy it in and remount your eye bolt. Should last forever. The aluminum block and machining may cost you a C note, but having a repair shop do it will cost more, I am sure.

Interested in other's opinions here.....`
I fish a lot like RW and others, pick a spot and fish it thoroughly, however, I am learning the advantages of fishing with a search bait, and keep moving, until you get bit, then slow down and fisht THAT spot thoroughly, then move on.... it seems to work very well on all the lakes around me, and the guys I fish with and against in tx, so am working on developing that skill.

MG or MK TMs?
I love the MK TMs for one important reason, the flex in the shaft. Moving along in a stained lake, and run into some underwater brush, the shaft will flex, not bend like the MGs....

Broken Fin Fishing Fools
Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Avid, thank you for the PM, and will start looking into it on Monday. However, I may have found one of the triggers. I have acid reflux, and it has been killing me since Friday as well, and I take Prilosec every day. I am beginning to wonder if one does not have an effect on the other, will discuss this with the doc as soon as I can get into see one. Again, thanks for all the thoughts and good words. It means a lot. I am looking into some behaviour/thinking modification type therapy as well... maybe that will help along with meds.. who knows, but the attacks need to stop

Broken Fin Fishing Fools
Guys, I am having a real rough weekend. Started last night driving home from work, had another panic attack. Felt like i was passing out driving down the road. Took me almost 20 min, to drive the last 4 miles home. Then it happened again today, went to the in laws to borrow an ax. Was on the way home and it hit me again. We lost our insurance when the wife lost her job about 7 weeks ago... she is back to work but no insurance till 1st of August now...... Man I hate this sh&t......... gonna have to get to a doctor as soon as the insurance kicks back in... wife still looks at me like I am making it up.... sorry had to vent some.

History Buffs
I love American History, and always read everything I can get my hands on, however, I am completely enthralled with the Settling of the Old West, the Indian Wars and the Mountain Man Era.... Maybe I was born about 150 yrs. to late, ::)who knows.. but I can not get enough of it. However, I do not collect or anything like that, just read and watch everything I can find, As Toby Keith says "Should've Been A Cowboy"

bullets and fishing
I have never had any issues here in Georgia, but did have one back in Washington State while Winter Steelhead fishing on the Kalama River. Seems a couple of guys wanted my fish worse than I did. At least they hit me more times than I was able to hit them before they left with my 7 lb. metal mouth :-/ . I almost always carry now, when I do anything in the outdoors. It seems you have to worry as much about 2 legged predators as you do about the 4 legged ones or the ones that slither on the ground. I like to think people are good, however, I am gonna protect myself and mine from the ones who are not.

Another cheater
We had something similar happen on a tourny at Varner this year. I do not know the details, but the pair of fishermen, are no longer allowed to fish in tournaments anywhere in the area that I know of.... all it took was a person who knew we were having a tournament, and reporting what they had seen. Cheaters need to be taken out and publicly horse whipped, then put in the stocks.... IMHO.

Dancin Eel
I caught my first bass with this lure. He crushed it, and had the whole thing in his mouth. Was not a big one, only 1.25 lbs, but he got me on the board for my tournament yesterday. On a side note, I had forgotten what a pain getting treble hooks out of the fishes mouth can be,,,,, ended up with one in my hand....

Get more gas milage out of your truck...
I watched a Myth Busters episode on this subject. They found that for a pickup with an open bed, the best gas mileage was gotten with a cargo net for a tailgate. And that with the tailgate just opened and laying flat, the truck actually got worse mileage than with it in the up and locked position.. The Cargo Net across the back actually increased fuel economy by like 10% I think. I drive an 04 Ranger Edge. I get 17 driving back and forth to work and 24 on freeway driving,,, I am not going to complain about that. My brother just sold one of his Mustangs and bought a Focus, with a stick. He is getting 39-45 mpg with it going back and forth to work. Gas in the Pacific Northwest is over 3.00 a gallon as well. He parked the F250 Superduty, until hunting season

Dancin Eel
Anyone using these yet? I bought two, and I love the action, but no fish caught yet. Anyone catch any bass on this lure?

anyone know their snakes
Well, I took the wife crappie and bream fishing yesterday to Charlie Elliott Wildlife Refuge here in Georgia. Margery and Fox lakes were crawling with water moccasins, saw over a dozen of them. Time for us to leave, went to Sherperds Pond, and fished the rest of the day and not one more snake. Thank God... Caught a bunch of Beam and Crappie also,, ;)

Theodore Roosevelt- View on being a American
Avid, I have no problem what so ever having Ethnic pride in who you are and where your roots are based. I have a problem with the labels dividing this country. The african-americans want this, the hispanic-americans want that, the italian-americans want something different, and it divides this country like it has never been divided since the civil war. With all these different -Americans, it is crazy.. just be an American and be proud of it. But also be proud of your race and ethnicity.

Theodore Roosevelt- View on being a American
I could not agree more with all of you and Teddy. I got in a debate with the Census Bureau, last time they were out. They asked me what -American I was. I said I am none of those, I am an American, nothing more. They even sent out a supervisor to talk to me, lol,, he left scratching his head as well. If everyone quit worrying about their ethinticity and proudly proclaimed they were Americans, a lot of our problems in this country would just plain disappear. IMHO

Broken Fin Fishing Fools
Recon, God Bless you for standing in harms way for us, and now dealing with the anguish of the aftermath. My nephew was in Iraq for a year, and he was in counseling for about 2 months after he came back, and he still will not talk about alot of what went on over there. No, we do not think you are boasting. Just stating facts that have to be dealt with. John
