  1. Witch? Did you say witch? Man, I freakin' hate witches. They scare the crap out of me!!!!
  2. Right now, they are calling for possible T-storms all weekend. I will make a decision by tomorrow night whether or not I will make the trip. I really enjoy seeing the fellas, but I am not a big fan of fishing in a T-storm.
  3. Alrighty, so which one would be a better rod for "feel" baits?
  4. What is the difference, if any, between the two? I am not really familiar with anything Loomis....
  5. No one gets left behind on the bank. Typically, boaters/non-boaters are paired up the night before at dinner. Last year, some made plans to fish together well in advance of the Roadtrip. There will be a boat for you to fish from, no doubt.
  6. Stay away from me ;D
  7. This is how I usually find him when I get home from work... All 120lbs of him. ;D
  8. Here is the big goon himself, Smuckers....
  9. Congrats on your new PB. If you are looking to stock up on senko-type baits, take a look at ***. Brent will get you all fixed up.
  10. I dont believe anyone has officially confirmed, as in paid the registration fee. That info has not been announced yet. There is a page on Facebook where some have sent confirmation. I believe you can search for "Bass Resource 5th Annual Roadtrip" on there and it should come up. Invites were sent out via FB when the trip was announced. More near the trip, lists will be put out with contact info and what not.
  11. Yep, dont put the weight through. Something that will make it easier though... Begin to rig the bait just like any other texas rig. Put your hook point through the nose and out the neck, but stop there. Now you have a hole that is perfectly centered and a lot easier to push the eye back through. Sometimes it can be difficult to get the hook rigged straight when you try and push the hook eye up through the bait, essentially backwards from everything you have done.
  12. 1 lb. of beef on a 9.5" bun. Only $5.99 at Purple Cow. It's called the Mike's Intimidator. If we end up doing another marathon in September, I'm gonna need one of those. No lettuce, no tomato..... ;D
  13. And winner of the "4 1/2 year resurrection award" goes to...... ABLE2DISABLE1!!!!! ;D
  14. Not to mention the internet... If they had the internet, they could read the wonderful information posted above... :
  15. Just for you, I will try and pull the Bear out of the trailer when I get home.
  16. It's a cool idea, but there is one big problem. That thing is gonna hang up on every piece of wood on the bottom of the lake. I thought one of the great things about cranks was banging into cover or structure and then letting the bait back away from the obstacle? I'm not a big crank guy, so obviously I could be wrong.
  17. Tried to set up a trip with RobbyZ, but he is fishing a big tournament next weekend. I will likely get to the lake sometime in the afternoon on Saturday and night fish. Hell, I might even sleep on the boat. Weather will not be a factor unless it is torrential downpours and lightning, then I wont be going. Let me know if anyone wants to fish Sat night or Sunday. Wayne
  18. Seems like there are more PA guys signing up every day. Welcome aboard.
  19. WV or PA? Glad to see you got out. Keep an ear open for another WV weekend marathon in September.
  20. Dam, bet that was some mess to clean up.... ;D
  21. Dude, eat a cheeseburger!!! I thought the thread title was you telling us YOUR weight... You look like LBH's little brother. ;D Nice fish.
  22. That is a great looking fish!!
  23. There are so many ways to fish different swimbaits, it would blow your mind. There are also now so many different types of "swimbaits" that make it that much more difficult to choose. Chuck and wind will produce, but limiting yourself to that technique alone will limit the amount of fish you catch. Ask yourself, "How would a feeder fish act where I am fishing my swimbait?" Realism is the big thing with most swimbaits. You are attempting to fool some of the oldest, smartest bass in your body of water. I have not fished Brent's Jaw Jacks, but have fished similar paddle tail types. When fishing them, think "spinnerbait" and you will be on the right track.
  24. Put one between the bullet weight and your Texas rigged plastics for matted vegetation. It will give your bait a "jig" look that is a lot more weedless than an actual jig. Paycheck baits is selling a "Punch Skirt" for this purpose, but the Quickskirt type products are just as effective and cheaper.
