LOL Romo the ****, your too funny. Come on Folks, dish it up, I got 5 Super Bowls to brag about!!! Winning Franchises have away of doing that. 13-4, and where did your team finish the season? Ya'll hookem, fishing season is on. Matt 5 looks pretty good on this side of the country too That should have been my team losing to the Patriots on Saturday!!! ;D
  3. I think it has something to do with that new "Search Engines Online" counter. Before this feature, the maximum number of users online was right around where your math is. If you add in those search engines, it comes up to meet the higher number. I doubt i explained that like it sounds in my head, but thats the best I can put into text. Sorry LOL Wayne As a reference, there are approx 308 "users" online currently. I believe this includes members, guests and whatever those "search engine" numbers are.
  4. Basser89 and I were looking at the Koolie minnow yesterday at Cabela's and commented that it was a weird looking bait with liquid in the inside. Hopefully they catch something for you. Wayne
  5. Or exactly 4 feet long :
  6. Just last night, I came across my first celebrity in public. Here is the story from the other thread: Muddy, we all had a great time there meeting you and Bruce. Definitely some fishing trips in the works for this year. Anyhow, after all the lure buying and BSing was done, my car-full of people decided to go check out and start the long drive home. The lady at the check out counter was handing me the receipt to sign and she says, "Geez, how much stuff is that guy gonna buy?" as she is pointing behind me. I asked, "Who" and her reply was "The guy from the Sopranos over there." Well, this got my interest and I turned around to see this tall gangly looking fellow behind me. I thought to myself, what the &**%$#^% is this lady talking about? Then I looked over to the next set of registers and there stood none other than Tony Soprano himself, James Gandolfini. One of the guys that came with me is a big, big fan. I went over and told him to look at the guy and see if he looked familiar. He darn near froze in his tracks when he realized who it was. We got a piece of paper and a pen from one of the registers and my buddy was too scared to ask him for an autograph. LOL I really wanted to leave, so I took the pen and paper and walked up to this guy. Believe me, this is a BIG man. I dont really have to look up to a lot of people, but I did with him. He was very nice and signed the paper to my buddy Travis. That is seriously the last person I would expect to see at a Cabela's with three shopping carts full of camo clothing, but there he was. Cool end to a great day. Thanks again to all that attended. Wayne Redline, you dont count for this one!!!!! LOL
  7. If someone's feelings get hurt because they are not recognized for this award, maybe they are not doing enough to deserve it in the first place. I realize that many people do things merely to be recognized and receive accolades. Its the people that do these things with a low profile, expect nothing in return and continue their efforts on a daily basis that are truly deserving. Oddly enough, these people are usually viewed in a positive light b/c no matter how low profile they are, people see them for the good things they do. Case in point: Alpster, the first selection.
  8. I have not YET had the chance to meet Ronnie, but have spoken to him on the phone a few times and enjoyed countless posts of his on here. You are truly an asset to the people you touch and I cannot wait for the drive to and from Alabama in March with you. After reading your quote, I am pretty sure you have some "honor" coming your way because you definitely have the "humility" part of it, and then some. Congrats to you, great selection by the staff. Wayne

  10. RW, you might be one of the only people on BassResource.com that actually knows how to spell striper. Most put the extra "p" in there w/o even realizing it. It is quite amusing on this end..... Secretlakes, great dog too!!! I have a Golden as well. Wayne
  11. Dont waste your time. Basser89 can attest that it is not the greatest show on earth. You will see some hard to find lures, but the prices are not anything great and the building where the show is looks run down. I have opted to not go again, but thats just my opinion. Wayne
  12. In fourbizz's tackle bag is where most of them probably are....
  13. FREAKIN SWEET!!!!!! Why the excitement you ask? By your estimation I am Kevin Van Dam!!!!!!!
  14. I would like to see LT win a Super Bowl. I would also like to see Brett Favre win another one. My least favorite option is for Rondef's dreams to come true....
  15. I throw it on a MH 7' graphite or a 6'6" mh glass rod w/ 15lb big game
  16. I dont have time to rob a bank to buy those....LOL
  17. Sometimes they just cant be made any better.....
  18. I have the ABT Rip Shad, which is the same thing. Nice action in the water. It responds very well to suspend dots/strips to make it neutrally buoyant. Try putting some bigger hooks on them as well to decrease the rate it floats to the surface. Go a size smaller on the hooks and crank it really slow as a wake bait too. Very versatile Wayne
  19. Muddy....when this season finally rolls around, you need to tell those kids to cool it!!!! Tell 'em, no fighting until we get done fishing. I am getting on that lake this year, come hell or high water!!!! LOL
  20. Darn, have you seen any with a flat area near the eye so you could put a Yamamoto internal tube weight on it? I have not messed around or seen the bigger models so I'm not sure if I could make it work. Haha, no, but that would be nice right? I tried (unsuccessfully) to crimp a splitshot on one of those things last year in an attempt to duplicate the inchi head. That dang round shank would kick those things off every time and I didnt have enough patience to fool with it. A flat area would make that soooo much easier.
  21. Tin, the Owner mosquito hooks are basically the same thing. I used them and the Gammy octopus hooks last year and like them a lot. Very solid hook up percentage. I dont believe it was a fluke you experienced. As far as a tube jig hook using that principle, I dont believe the shank is long enough on a normal octopus, even in the larger sizes. I have not seen a jig head w/ a modified (longer shank) hook either.
  22. Yeah, well the view aint too bad either.... I will fish with just about anyone once. How they act in the boat will determine if that calls for a second trip.
  23. It grinds my gears when people say Kilometers per hour LOL j/k
  24. Another idea would be to get a job somewhere to help your financial situation. Probaly less work and more pay than you will get with your wood cutting idea.
  25. With that type of wood, you might be better off selling "firewood packets" to campers in the area. Obviously, if you dont have many campers in the area this wont work for you The woods you mention would make great wood for a campfire, but not really for home heating.
