  1. The Blue and Green mirrored Costas have an Amber base. The only thing mirroring does is block more light. Ideal for open water/blue water fishing in bright sun; not as good for sight fishing.
  2. From talking to guys in your area, if you are fishing the Delta and not fishing at least SOME with a rat bait then you are missing out. WRB is right about the A-rig. I dont consider that swimbait fishing really either. Also, you say you only catch one or two per trip? You dont really say how big they are, so that may not be a bad thing. You're gonna go and not catch fish, accept that. If you are fishing for big fish (and honestly on the Delta I dont know why you'd fish for anything else) then you have to realize the only way to catch fish on swimbaits is to keep throwing them in high percentage areas. Gotta keep a bait wet to catch anything on it. So Matt, about that rat bait? LOL
  3. I saw it. Never know what might happen. LOL
  4. He didn't win the Classic this year, so it shouldnt be too nuts. I saw him in Harrisburg right after he won with the Chartreuse/black back squarebill. You should have seen guys fighting over those. LOL
  5. Not mine, but I believe Matt from Mattlures has a couple world records under his belt from some off the wall species. Hopefully he still owns those records and will chime in.
  6. Oh, no doubt. Oakley makes some nice glasses, buddy in the National Guard loves the ones he got through them. I'm referring to your next pair. I will repeat something that can't be repeated enough: You only get one set of eyeballs, treat them with care. In this instance, that would be purchasing the highest quality pair of glasses you can.
  7. Atta boy! Get your stitchin' fingers ready!
  8. Save the money, buy Costa glass and don't worry about scratches.
  9. LOL, thought the same thing. Amber lenses for me.
  10. Megastrike goes on my jigs and swimbaits. JJ's goes on my other soft plastics. Both are tremendous products backed by great people.
  11. Hudds are comparatively cheap in the swimbait world.
  12. Absolutely. I didnt know what type of setup you had, so I was staying away from the bigger stuff. Is there anyway for you to get a float tube or kayak/small boat in there? Getting off the banks, IMO, will greatly improve your ability to capitalize on casting angles and access different structure in the pit.
  13. I'd be fishing the deep side of those islands or rock outcroppings, especially if the wind is blowing up on them. Also, if it has weeds like that, I'd be willing to bet that summertime fishing with a frog would be a blast.
  14. That's a bad looking rifle Robert . Better throw that thing in the ocean before it goes out and shoots something all by itself
  15. Pics! Pics! Pics! Pics! Pics!
  16. Rhino's got a good point. The Road Trip is a good place to get some swag. Big O straight hooked me up at the first KY Lake Roadtrip. J also makes a valid point that I would like to expand on. If there is a "section" for giveaways and contests, there are going to be guys that only sign up to participate in that forum. If you have to look for stuff, there is a good chance you'll find something else to contribute to as well as finding the "giveaways." Think of it as an Easter Egg hunt for adults. LOL Besides, most of the time the giveaways are done in the General Section. If you are looking there, you won't miss too many.
  17. You've got my number. Just got to get your butt up to PA this spring/summer. LOL
  18. LOL, you scare me sometimes.
  19. The lake is dry but the fish didn't just vanish brotha.
  20. Effective, but really sucks if you lack the absolute greatest patience. I know I can't do it, at least not as slowly as he describes.
  21. Cabin fever has me irritated. Getting antsy.
  22. Thanks for the vote of confidence Dwight.
  23. Ya never know. I live about three miles from where the current state record was caught (albeit in 1983). Guess anything's possible though.
  24. LOL, yeah that was a pretty good one.
