  1. Waiting to see how many pennies I need to save. LOL
  2. Stupid work filters won't let me see, all I get is the infamous "red X" I feel your pain on running out of room though. LOL
  3. I'll give it a shot when I get home tonight. Work filters won't let me on YT. Of course, I turned the camera off to do the "one more cast" thing, threw the pointer out and let it sit. I reeled up some slack, let it sit. Next time I reeled up the slack I noticed the line was about 5 feet to the right of where it was last time. LOL, thought to myself, "Self, you better start reeling in." Luckily over the long winter I hadn't forgot how to reel a fish in. Nothing huge but a nice way to get out in the snow and make something happen. Fish got the back treble in its gill, so the blood in the video is a bit unsightly. It swam away fine though. If anyone wants to look it up on YT and post it up for me, I would appreciate it. wcampbell41 is my name on YT.
  4. If you want to run fast, then you have to practice running fast. If you want to lift a lot of weight, then you have to practice lifting a lot of weight. If you want to become proficient with the swimbait, then you gotta leave all that other stuff at the dock and throw the big stuff. Think about it. You are out there chucking a hudd for hours without so much as a sniff. You look over and you see people dropshotting off a point, catching 2lb fish and having a ball. You look the other direction and see guys flipping tules and catching a BUNCH of fish (nice fish, but not THE fish). It takes persistence in times like this and if there is a DS rod or a flippin' stick in your boat, I can promise you the temptation is darn near overwhelming to put down the big bait and pick up what you KNOW you can catch a fish with. This isnt about catching a fish, this is about catching THE FISH. Five pound fish are great but I guarantee you one of those Delta giants will stick in your mind forever. Stay the course. Be a beast.
  5. If by "friends" you mean the Megastrike crew, then yes those rods were for them. LMAO
  6. Figured today would be a good day to stick my first for 2013. What storm? LOL Edit: Ok, how do I post a YT vid? Haha
  7. You sure your rainbow rods aren't for something else? LOL
  8. I think a fish would worry more about the 16-21ft aircraft carrier about to buzz its dorsal fin. If you are close enough to a fish that the color of your rod is going to scare it away, you either got too close to begin with or you weren't going to catch that fish in the first place.
  9. Great looking fish. Tough to tell the size from the pic but I would give you 5lbs for sure.
  10. Wish I would have been able to see this before-hand. Dont know that I would have been able to go but a fella can dream. Good luck guys.
  11. I hope everyone stops throwing swimbaits. You're right, WAAAAY too big especially in PA. Here's a pic for you guys to wrap your mind around. The one on top is almost 18 inches long.
  12. Fixed that for you.
  13. Gotta love that article, probably one of his relatives wrote it. LOL As a reporter, you think the first question might be, "Do you have any pictures?" Ridiculous.

S&W is currently at a 7-8 month, 5 million dollar backorder point. He may be waiting a while.
  15. If you are fishing the Hammers like a jigging spoon, you will like it. Will pick up a bunch of line quickly. If you are fishing anything else swimbait-wise, you will either be fishing too fast (for the most part) or you will make yourself go to sleep trying to slow that reel down.
  16. Well, I'll just be happy to catch a few and swap some BS stories. I'll be REALLY happy to get on a swimbait bite. LOL
  17. Dont be jealous. LOL
  18. Sorry to hear Carl. Good luck, fishing cures quite a bit.
  19. I do typically deny my identity when I meet people. LOL
  20. With his feet, in 39 degree water during a blizzard hurricane! The ground was shaking, so there may have been an earthquake but that has yet to be confirmed. The other stuff, completely true. IT WAS EPIC!
  21. Met James Gandolfini at Cabela's one day. Had about three carts full of camo clothes and what not. He walked up behind me in the checkout line. Very cool dude and A LOT bigger/taller than I imagined.
  22. Team America: World Police
  23. A picture, a witness and a release vid are good enough for me. I'm ok with people keeping fish up to their legal limit. That is a right you acquire along with your license. Obviously, I would prefer if the big ones (subjective to your waters/location) were allowed to swim another day.

Just picked up a Thunder yesterday with only a few rounds run through it for $150. How could I refuse? LOL
  25. My mistake, thanks for the link.
