  1. Typically I'll say "I'm on" or if it's a big one, "Get the net". Like Matt said, sometimes the hookset says it all. Falcon
  2. I think you would have no problem with your boat and motor. As Sam said keep a close eye on your battery. A spare battery would be great. As for where to fish, I would start at the boat ramp and not stop until I fished every bit of it. It looks like a nice lake to spend alot of time on. Falcon
  3. I've been adding split rings to my Heddon and Arbogast lures for years. Seems to help alot. Falcon
  4. Here in the Detroit area, we have a few very good shows. Last week we had "Bassarama", KVD and a few other pro's held seminars and signed autographs. Unfortunately I was unable to attend. In early February, we have the Detroit Boat Show for a week. If you are even thinking about buying a boat, that is the time and place to get it. There are usually some other weekend shows around town, but like roadwarrior said, the best is held at Bass Pro Shop. I've got some gift cards from Christmas burning a hole in my poket, but I'm waiting until February 29 thru March 16 to spend them. Falcon
  5. Back around 2004 is when I first started visiting BassResource.com. I was a member of N.A.F.C. for a few years and it was getting pretty lame. I was looking for a fish weight calculator and one of the other members said I should check out this "fantastic bass fishing site". I've never been a big fan of forums, in fact, in three years at N.A.F.C. I had barely 200 posts. Now here in less than a year and a half I have over 1300. Thanks to a great group moderators and a friendly and informative group of people, I feel "AT HOME". Thank you Glenn for starting and maintaining such a great place, and allowing me to be a part of it. Falcon
  6. Here in Michigan the prices according to michigan.gov/dnr: Restricted resident= $15.00 All species upgrade= $13.00 Senior resident= $6.00 All species upgrade= $5.20 Military resident= $1.00 There was alot of talk about raising fishing fees, however they must have changed their minds. Falcon

  8. Ronnie, We've never met, however after reading your posts everyday it's not difficult to see you're a very special person and well deserving of this honor. God Bless, Falcon
  9. I already did. My canal is partially thawed, so yesterday I went in the yard and threw a Shallow Shad Rap, X-Rap, and a Wild Shiner.............no luck, but it sure did feel with a rod and reel in my hand again. Falcon
  10. My most productive crankbaits in the spring are, Shad Raps and Rattlin Rapalas. Both pretty tight wiggle. Falcon
  11. HILARIOUS!!!! I think we've all been there at least once. Falcon
  12. For largemouth I agree with Sam, Disney World Ponds, or the Mexican lakes. (El Salto, Huites, or Baccarac) Foe smallmouth, I'll stay in my backyard. Falcon
  13. Slow or fast. It dosen't matter, I still enjoy my time here. Take your time Glenn, and thanks for all you do. Falcon
  14. I haven't seen those yet. I've got some of his other baits that have put ALOT of muskies in my boat. Falcon
  15. Ed, glad to hear things are looking up. You deserve the best. If you are ever in southeast Michigan, let me know, I'll take you out to play in my backyard and introduce you to some ill-tempered Lake St. Clair smallies and muskies. Falcon
  16. We usually plan a one week trip to a warmer climate. In fact, we're leaving for Florida in twenty days. Besides that, these are some things I do to get through the winter months: 1- Organize all my tackle, replace bad hooks. 2- Spend alot of time at BPS, Gander Mountain, Dicks. 3- Clean and lube reels. 4- Spend alot of time here with you guys. 5- Read as much about fishing as I can. 6- Watch my new "Bass Pros" season one and KVD's "Advanced Spinnerbait Tactics" DVD"s. 7- Re-organize my tackle. Things like that. Falcon
  17. My wife and I will celebrate our 40th anniversary in a few months. In all those years I've always OK'd my trips with her. As Davis stated, it's not being whipped, it's being a respectful, considerate husband. Most of my trips were with her and the kids anyway. She is still my favorite fishing partner. Come to think of it, it was her idea to buy a house on the water. She never complains when I buy new fishing equipment because she buys so many purses and shoes. Falcon
  18. Nice looking bait, BIG M. Do you sell them or just make them for yourself? Falcon
  19. My wife and I are going to be on vacation the week before, or else I'd be making travel plans right now. It would be great to meet some members and see a good fight too. Have a fun, safe trip. Falcon
  20. We've had record high's the last three days, in the low to mid 60's, now the temps are falling like a rock. When I got up this morning at 3:00 the temperature was 57 now it's 40, and 30 MPH winds.................Is it spring yet???? Falcon
  21. Dependable Punctual Dosen't complain Good sense of humor Nice legs That's why my wife has always been my favorite fishing partner. Oh, by the way, she can catch fish too. Falcon
  22. Thanks for the information Roger, I should have been more specific, I meant the town of Kissimmee, not necessarily Lake Kissimmee. I was wondering if there were any small lakes in the area of where I was staying. I will definately check into the places you linked. Thanks again, Falcon
  23. I will be in Kissimmee from 1-30-08 -- 2-5-08. I was wondering if there were any public access locations for shore fishing, or small boat rentals. I will be staying at: Knights Inn Maingate East 2880 Poinciana Blvd Kissimmee, Fl Thanks in advance, Falcon
  24. I was going through my tackle the other day and found alot of lures I haven't used in a few years. They always caught fish for me, so I decided to spend a little more time with my "old" baits. Falcon
  25. I agree, that was a useful feature. Falcon
