I have to agree with the others, if you're catching fish why change? You are fishing with a jig, and that's usually a big fish bait, i'd say be patient and keep on doing what you are doing. Falcon P.S. being stuck here in Michigan, I might sell my soul for a few two pounders.LOL

I have both reels, and I prefer the Record. The record has a 6.3:1 gear ratio. 30 IPT retrieve rate. The C3 has 5.2:1 gear ratio 25 IPT retrieve rate. In my opinion, the Record is worth the extra money. Both reels are bullet proof. Falcon

I voted BPS because they always have what I want. I would go to the local shop that's less than a mile from my house, but he is a jerk. I've asked him to order things for me and he says it's too much trouble to order small amounts. Falcon

Cabin fever is killing me. I clean my reels and organize my tackle, but this winter it seems worse than ever. Worse yet, every time I look out my front window, I see this frozen tundra called Lake St. Clair. I look out my back windows I see my frozen canal. Last year at this time, there was open water, this year there is at least two feet of ice. I think it's going to be a long time before I take any casts. Falcon

Thanks for your response strick9. I have always been an Abu garcia owner. I love my Revos and Records. After seeing the TD-Pro in the BPS catalog I thought I'd take a look at another brand. I heard a guy refer to the TD-Pro as the "Other Steez". I'm going to the BPS classic and check it out, and if it looks and feels as good as it looks I'll probably buy one. Falcon
