what do you guys think is the best color senko to immitate a baby bass?

what do you think... "baby bass", the laminated "watermelon creme", laminated "watermelon pumpkin", or regular "watermelon with black flake", any others?

Bass coloration will differ somewhat from water to water,

and even within the same body of water,

bass color may vary under different lighting conditions

and indeed in low-light, a bass may even appear colorless.

If I were looking to simulate a baby bass (never once have)

I'd be looking for something with a dark lateral line,

which is their most characteristic field mark irrespective of color.

Kinami makes a baby bass stick.  It's a nice shade of light green with silver, gold, and black flake.  I don't know if the fish think it looks like a baby bass, but I like it in clear water.

You might check into some hand pour sites.  Pretty much all of them will do custom colors.

GYCB does have that "Baby Bass" color but I don't think it actually immitates that specific color well.  I would go for the Green Pumpkin/Watermelon laminate or the Green Pumpkin/Amber Laminate.  But with that said, IMHO, any dark color will get the job done.

GYCB color selections are extensive, there is something for every taste.

I fish a few colors, but it's REALLY not necessary! "Dark" is my preference and occasionally white:

Watermelon w/ black flakes (194)

Green pumpkin w/ black flakes (297)

Watermelon w/ red & black flakes (208)

Black w/ blue flakes (021)

Clear w/ black flakes (187)

Or, you could try, watermelon, pumpkin, orange, white, chartreuse, watermelon seed, watermelon gold, Red bug, tomato core, pumpkinseed/chart tip, baby bass, bluegill, june bug, watermelon red, merthiolate, pearl, blue, black/blue,or something related to one of those.

Brent has a baby bass Trick Stick that works well for me. He also has the watermelonseed/pearl laminate that kicks butt here on St. Clair.
