great baits, I especially like the sunfish crank, the bass in one of my local pond hoppin' ponds would tear it up
  3. WOW , Marty does it again ;D
  4. Great job on your new PB. I estimate the fish to be between 3-4 pounds
  5. Just wondering if anyone has fished the Chick lately, i have tournaments coming up there in the weeks to come, one this weekend actually. What were they hitting before the freaking MONSOON : this past weekend, and where were they hitting? Any info would be greatly appreciated since I have not fished the river but once this year and the tournaments i fished there last year. Thanks guys
  6. I've never fished the pond but there is o.k. smallmouth fishing in the river, RARELY giants, occasionally a three pounder if you fish there enough. It recieves a good deal of pressure from bank fishermen, tubes and other traditional smallie baits work well, topwaters, flukes, etc. I fish the James alot, but mostly WAY upriver in my jet boat where there is actually a fairly high chance at a 5 plus, i'm not saying that its not possible to catch one near Richmond, but its not common, although I know people that have done it. Hope this helps somewhat. ;)Feel free to PM me with any questions.
  7. Heres one of my tournament winning bags from about 3 weeks ago. two 4+'s, a 3 and a dink 2 pounder.
  8. Yes, you need a better answer. Iam 15 and am sponsored and its alot harder work than what the average angler thinks, and do you fish many tournaments and are you "good enough" to hold your sponsorship(s). You have to be at the top of your game all the time. So take these and many more things into perspective and rethink your answer.
  9. FBL, I truly love buggs, its my second favorite lake behind Gaston of course haha. And thanks for the comment
  10. Fished our first Fishers of Men Legacy series tourny of the year at lake Anna a couple weeks ago, and put another W in the column.I caught four fish weighing 12.41pounds and also recieved second big fish, weighing in at 4.84 pounds. The fish were caught on jigs in 5-10 ft of water.I have fished 4 tournaments so far this year and placed in every one and leave tomorrow for another on lake Chesdin, then its off to the Chick for two weekends in a row, then fish the TBF state championship( me and ol' basspro48 )at Buggs Island, and then to Buggs again, and i'll just stop there haha.but heres the pic from the Anna tournament.

  19. i've lost favorite fishing areas completely lately, and it truly sucks.
  20. at a local tackle shop they seel rubber pegs that you slide into the weight between it and the line and trim to size. they work great. but i dont remember the name of the company that made them, but i think they were called peg-its.
  21. 10 to 8 pound Seagaur InvisX, gamakatsu finesse wide gap hooks, 3 ott, in grass i use a cylindrical style in grass, and teardrop everywhere else, weight size anywhere from 1/8 to 1/2 oz(depending on if theres current or how deep i'm fishing) and i'll dropshot anything from 7 inch worms to my own hand pours, but my favs are my own hand pours and berkley's 51/2 inch drop shot worms in hologram shad.
  22. well bp48 you know i've been doin pretty good haha, after catchin that 7-11 and 5-4 on back to back casts, and catching lots of medium size bass every time i've gone fishin. today we hit up the james, and caught 8, biggest wa 3 pounds, i caught it but it was a pretty slow day.
  23. i use mine all the time, works great but when you try to use a spinning reel its kinda inconvenient, but its GREAT for baitcasters.
