Same here. I fish a lot of rocky places and the football head works best for me. Another vote for football style head. I use stand-up jigs as well.

... alternatively you can use instead of o-rings mono line to attach the hooks on the lure. You may loose the hook but not the lure 8-)

I use hula grubs either with or without the jig skirt

Agree , it seems that there is lack of food in the lake but still is strange that the fish can grow up that big. in Cyprus we have our dams packed with baitfish and bass over 6lb are rare.

You can try fly fishing and spoons/mepps spinners when the fish are active. Salmon eggs is also a good bait. ask the locals what colors/size of flies/spoons/spinners they use.
