Salmon Fishing - Norway
I'm working for a shipping company and one of our underwriters based in Norway has invited us for there annual summer event which this year took place at Haukåsen, situated at 400 meters above sea level on a bluff between Sogndal and Kaupanger in the Sognefjord area of Western Norway. We were lucky having sun all three days of the event. At this time of the year the nights never get dark. A favorite activity at Haukåsen is salmon fishing. They fish them most of the time with fly fishing but when the fish are active they hit spoons and spinners as well. here are some photos of this beautiful place and some of the salmon i cought, this is the one of the three lakes we have fished. Here the fly fishing training took place

My damn BPS extreme rod snapped after ONE USE!
i had the same problem last February. They have replaced the rod and pay for both return shipping cost from Cyprus and shipping cost for the replacement to be sent back to me. Sorry my friend but forget the free goodies.

Casting combo
It's been now 4 years that I'm fishing LB with spinning equipment and particularly last season and this season with a Basspro Xtreme MH 7" rod with a Sahara 2500 spinning reel. The only disadvantage on this combo is the sahara's drag which is not so strong and sometimes it's difficult to fight big fish. The second is that you can not use bigger than 5/8 lures on the xtream rod or any other average priced spinning rod. Taking into consideration the above I'm thinking to buy a good casting combo. My requirements are the following: - since I'm fishing from the bank the casting distance is very important . I know that you can achieve the max casting distance with a casting combo . I'm looking for a rod longer than 7" - lure weight up to 2oz - power MH to H and action F to XF - I will use the rod for all my lures/presentations - budget:$200 Any suggestions?

Swiss Bass
Buzzbaits always produce big bass for me. Smallest so far was 1.5kg. I didn't had the chance to use them much this year but they are definetly a big bass lure. I use terminator and booyah buzzbaits.

A couble of spawers were cought in Cyprus last week on a t-rig tube & wooly bug. This is unusual for Cyprus as well although the majority of bass have spawned. Nice fish , nice lure , Jackall?

New Spinning Reel
I'm using shimano sahara 2500fb for a year now. It's a great reel , the only disadvantage is the drag which is not so strong and sometimes it's difficult to fight big fish. If symetre has better drag , then i'm not seen any reason upgrating in a more expensive reel.
