  1. Not a fan of the veritas? I have one and love it.
  2. They were just on sale like a month ago, but most sold out online. Cant wait for that BPS in atlantic city in 2015.
  3. They make a solution to seal the knot and make it safer. Its called UV Knot sense.
  4. My first hit on the brush Jig I flipped it into some wood. I let it fall to the bottom and popped it once or twice and thought I was snagged. I set the hook and it did turn out to be a fish but when my line came over a limb above the water the jig popped out of the fishes mouth.
  5. I dont know why someone would remove it A lot of great answers with knowledge from a guy who spent his life studying and chasing big bass. Oh well.
  6. Can you post the links? I cant see.
  7. I knew I shouldv'e copied and pasted that content into a msWORD file :/
  8. The Carbonlite Rods at basspro are just sick. It's actually going to be my next rod purchase.
  9. All I can say is WOW! These are some of the nicest jigs I ever laid eyes on. When I got them in the mail they were 10x nicer than I thought they would be, even though they looked nice via pictures. My confidence in Jigs isn't even that high because I hate slowing down. But just looking at these gives me confidence, im totally psyched about Jig fishing now. Thanks Mike for your awesome Jigs and hard work.
  10. I remember some years ago when Dough Hannon used to post on the forums there were Q&A segments where Doug would interact with some of the BR members answering questions about their home lakes etc. Are these topic threads still available? Id like to go back and read some if possible. Mike
  11. I bet they will probably be technique specific, at least thats what im hoping for.
  12. Coming soon apparently! Mike posted this picture on his FB page. I like my veritas so hoping these much up in quality as well.
  13. those skirts look absolutely amazing
  14. Reading this almost makes me feel guilty for fishing, all he wants to do is relax and eat to survive and here i come ripping a hook through his mouth
  15. Just find the nearest lake with grass and spend a day ripping a lipless crankbait through and over it, I garuntee you catch a couple nice fish.
  16. Like Ike said, dont set the hook, reel into the fish, and make sure your using the correct rod size and action
  17. PTL is a good company. They sponsor my clubs open buddy tournament we host ever year. They are friends with my club president. The Texas Rig Jig is hands down why PTL is what it is today. And if im ordering any product by them thats what it usually is. However, I think their baits are a bit pricey. There's other companys out there who charge way less for almost the exact same thing, and examaple being the shakey head worms. This is why I buy different plastics from many different companies. I like to mix things up a lot and see what best fits my budget/needs at the given moment. Iv'e had a lot of success on the texas rig jigs though, and my favorite color is green pumpkin/blue swirl. I nail em on it. -Mike P.S. If you order or use some of the t-rig jigs get yourself a bottle of mend-it. And when they get beat up and out of shape, work your magic on them. You might get a few more fish out of each one this way.
  18. Good noticing thiss tuff but ever lake is different. Different bodies of water hold different fish with different behaviors. water depth, structure, cover and climate all affect a fish's location on any given lake. Also dont assume fish are feeding just because they see your baits.
  19. Have you caught a fish on it yet
  20. What type of Roboworm is it the hi-def line? Thats the only one i can find the sexy shad color on
  21. Keep it simple. brighter /darker colors for murkier water / overcast skies flashy colors for sunny days / semi clear water ghost / natural colors for clear water Color isn't a very important factor im lead to believe, people swear by certain colors but its just confidence really, it has nothing to do with the fish. Fish react to movement / vibration / and feed on a various ammount of prey that are all different colors.
  22. I dont think it really matters if its on a spinning or casting setup. As for personal preference most people use a spinning rod because most spinning rods are lighter and also have lighter line which you preferably would want because it gives the small bait more action than heavier line would. However I have a baitcasting outfit with 10lb test that i would feel completely comfortable throwing a shakey head on. But I think it'd be more wise to use spinning tackle to drop the worm faster so you dont have to pull line out to get a vertical fall, in fact im pretty sure thats the #1 reason people use a spinning rod outfit for it. Also why are you shakey head fishing? Throw on a Rage tail shad or a spinnerbait and go burn some flats man! Go for the big girls not the 12 inchers. This is fall.
