I got this reel earlier this year with the combo at BPS. I can honestly say its a great reel. I can cast a mile and its really smooth. Also with the Rod you get with the combo, you cant beat the price. I'd put this reel right up there with the PQ. I also got a PQ shortly after the KVD siganture series combo and I'm still not sure which reel I like better yet

Update: fished my tournament this weekend with a 7:1:1 BPS PQ and i loved every second of it. Got in a lot of pitches that day and landed a good bass also.

Caught one on a beaver this weekend in 42 water temps with a 316oz weight on a Beaver. Fall was pretty slow on 12lb test YZH.

This is what ill be throwing next week in my tournament. A topwater frog with 49* temps.....lol

pro qualifier is a great reel I got mine the other day and I'm very happy

they look amazing ill be buying some.. Im confused about the size of the hook selection.. whats the difference between 1/0 and size 1? and size 2 etc? dont know which size to buy

Ill be fishing a tournament on Saturday and ill most likely be flipping a jig and beaver all day. Do you think with a 7;1:1 it might be better to have for this technique to get more pitches per hour? Only thing im worried about is overworking the bait, water temps most likely gonna be around 45...maybe less Whatcha think?

Braid will come off the spool a lot faster than fluro, so you could beable to make longer casts with the lighter baits. That being said, your line will not be invisible which is the great benefit for fluro. Also fluro will sink faster. Its pretty much just personal preference. Experiment with both and find out what works for you gl -wm

does the split ring on front give it better action?
