Are Tru-Tungsten Jigs worth the price?
Oh yeah everyone is right I didn't even notice it. I just took a good look at the few Tru-Tungsten Jigs I have and noticed like everyone else said there is no barb coming out of the jig head that most other jigs have, the barb that holds the trailer in place, there is no barb what so ever. Hopefully the trailer stays on there well as I don't know cause I haven't had a chance to fish it yet. I don't know how they could not put a barb on the jighead though, blows my mind.

I ordered a couple packs of these, and with all the positive comments I think im going to be happy . Don't know if they'll produce better then the paca did for me though.

Are Tru-Tungsten Jigs worth the price?
I got a couple of these but I haven't had a chance to fish with them yet. But I can tell you this, its a real nice jig, definetly quality. The skirt is just beautiful. Yeah there expensive so I don't know how much many more I'll buy cause I lose jigs too often, but its definetly a quality lure.

Mattlures Bluegill Series
I see the pics of these monster bass being caught on this bait, but my question is do you think a 2-3lber can take this lure? Or is it too big? The ponds im fishing, majority of the fish are 2-3lbs with a few 4s and 5s lurking about (just not many). But I'd like to use it on the 2-3lbers that spawn also. So what do you say, can a 2-3lber fit this lure in its mouth?

Shallow Crankbaits
Hmm, alright thanks guys, you gave me some more hope in this lure. I'll try it again probably in the spring. So throw to cover with a steady retrieve. You don't give it any jerks? Just a steady retreive like as if it were a spinnerbait?

You lucky son of a gun >.

Shallow Crankbaits
Hey I own a Luckycraft Fat Shallow Cb, I tryed throwing it a few times but with no success. Can you guys tell me how/when you use these? How do you fish them, do you let it float to the top and twitch it as if it was a topwater? Do you fish them with a steady retreive? Or do you fish them with jerk jerk pauses, like a jerkbait. Also when do you use this lure, spring? fall? I never had a fish even peck at a shallow crankbait, don't know what im doing wrong :-/ and Luckycrafts are too expensive to be sitting around collecting dust. Here is a link to the crankbait im talking about http://www.***.com/descpageHDCLUCKY-LCFMSR.html#.

Jig and a trailer?
Using a Jig without a trailer IMO is like using a spinnerbait without a skirt. For trailers I like Netbait Paca Chunks, Yum Chunks, Zoom Super Chunks, and GYCB Hula Grubs (for when I plan to fish it a little quicker). Also match the color of the trailer to the color of the jig.

Scents on Crankbaits
Hmm, never heard about or tryed putting scents on hardbaits but I generally use Megastrike on my softbaits, and Yum Crawfish Spray on my jigs.

How do YOU fish a Swimming Senko?
You guys saying your t-rigging them are you pegging them? Or letting the weight slide free?

Note to self: Remember the %$#@ camera....
Why is it that when you forget your camera you always hook up with a nice fish, but when you bring the camera you don't catch any quality fish. Its a curse I tell you!! It happens to me all the time! Sometimes I forget my camera intentionally just so I can catch a nice fish ;D.

Skitter Prop
I fish it like you would any old popper. The only place I throw it is at this lake that has tons of frogs that look exactly like that brown/white spotted frog pattern on the skitter pop. Other then at that lake I really don't use it too much. But I'd definetly say its a decent popper.

When do you guys start Bass fishing again?
Well last year when I went out in the winter I would catch 1 here and there using small rapalas (1 - 1 1/2 - 2inches tops) Fish them very slow, thats what worked for me.

When do you guys start Bass fishing again?
So you guys are fishing now then? I thought the ponds/lakes still didn't freeze over yet.

Realistic flies.
I wonder how well those beautiful flies he makes holds up after a fish or 2, they look kinda fragile.

When do you guys start Bass fishing again?
Hey, im from NJ so Its been pretty cold around here, and I took a break from fishing once late November hit. Now I will usually fish all the way until the ice forms with small rapalas, but this year I have alot going on, and I know the fishing isn't going to be anything spectacular so I decided to wait the cold out. Anyways, I just wanted to know when you guys start going out again, im thinking March, and If the bass don't hit in March, then I know the pickerel will. Also what baits you usually start off with when you get to fishing again?

lipless crankbaits
Anyone try LC's Lipless crankbait with a lip on it?(http://www.***.com/descpageHDLLUCKY-LCLV70.html) It supposably says it is less likely to pick up weeds because the lip makes it run shallower (which would be perfect for the lakes im fishing cause there so darn shallow). Anyone give these a try with any success? Do they really run shallower then a normal Lipless Crank?

Wacky Worm Jigs
I was curious and took a look and this is what I found http://basstournament.blogspot.com/2006/12/finesse-wacky-jig.html. Im not confident in the wacky rig style, so I probably won't bother with it, but thought you'd guys like to take a look 8-).

Best Hollow Frog
Can't go wrong with a original Scumfrog http://www.scumfrog.com/scumfrog.html. Best frog Ive found so far for hook ups. I hate the Bronze Eye.

new rapala X-RAP
Jerk Jerk Pause, Jerk Jerk Jerk Pause, Jerk Pause, Jerk Jerk Pause .

The Banjo Minnow
Never tryed them, but I hear they work well for pickerel.

Next Year?
Well I learned how to flip/pitch smaller size jigs (3/15-3/16 ounce, if you call that finesse) So I plan to give the larger size jigs a try this year, such as 1/4-3/8. I also plan to learn the Tube, the Spider Jig (Gycb Hula Grub on a Jighead), and I also am going to try a whole bunch of different creature baits to see which one I like best for flipping (tryed the Gycb Kreature, Sweet beaver, and Zoom Baby Brush Hog so far). Every year we get better, so either way its always a gain .

a LOT of potential
"this is the kind of fish that in my opinion has tremendous potential to be a MONSTER one day if it survives, and the kind that is SO important to release. so i whacked it on the head, filleted it, and we're having it for supper. yum, yum." Hahahaha, Thanks for the laugh . Nice fish 8-).

fat ika?
Yeah, the Fat Ikas work great. I rig them upside down (skirt facing up) and I fish it just like you would a senko, also I'll use it in the same occasion as I would throw a senko. They work pretty good. I tend to fish them in more open areas, or small bits of cover (small stick piles, small patch of lillypads, they work great in rocky areas), larger cover I tend to throw a jig or flip a pegged creature softbait. Also, Black/blue flk, and Greenpumpkin are the colors that work best for me with the Fat Ika.
