  1. I believe anything 5+ is a lunker! It seems that bass under this size are very common! I know some of my friends catch 3-4 pounders and think they are 5+ pound fish. I pull out the scale and they are amazed that the fish are under 5 lbs.
  2. Sounds like common sense to me!!! ;D I would like to see the "larger" gator that killed a 13 footer!!! In the zoo... not on my lake
  3. Sorry to hear this! I hope they find those A$$holes that stole your stuff!
  4. Update on my tractor starter issue: $204 to fix the starter ($125 for the starter and the rest was for labor). I was right on the starter issue but I still couldn't fix it myself and I did take them a bag of parts... LOL Oh well, guess they felt really sorry for me and didn't charge me the stupidity tax!
  5. Guess the Doug Hannon snakes wouldn't work there if 15 snakes were just leisurely swimming around...
  6. Tipp... Listen to Muddy! That is a heartfelt and genuine response to your dilemma! And Muddy is speaking from experience! I hope everything works out for your friend and she makes it out of this situation alive!
  7. I love to golf! I definitely hit enough shots to get my money's worth! And yes, it is very expensive too! The golf monkey is constantly trying to add new clubs to the bag! Oh... and the Bass Pro Shops in Orlando has a golf department too! One stop shopping for both of my favorite sports!!!
  8. Great fish!!!
  9. Great fish and a great story! Sucks that the rod broke but it makes an even more memorable catch!
  10. That pic may get you on the next PETA billboard! ;D
  11. Yeah... I guess I fit in this category! Took my lawn tractor to the repair shop after trying to fix it myself. Guess they will charge me with the "stupidity" tax! Worst part is they didn't want the bag of parts and pieces I collected... :

    Wow! How cute is that!
  13. My motto: when in doubt, set the hook! Hooksets are free!
  14. I understand it is not against the law. The friendly gators (6' and larger) here in Florida are removed from lakes. These gators are usually fed by people. I was more concerned with this man not realizing he could potentially harm other human beings by dumping his fish waste back into the lake (near this gator). Thanks for the clarification.
  15. Hey Linesider... today is your chance! Drive over here to Tampa and you can fish in a Tropical Storm!

    Have a safe trip!
  17. Wiggle warts, chug bugs, thundersticks... I would even try throwing a few of the "Storm" swimbaits. Seriously, I wouldn't change much of what I do now! Throw your confidence baits!
  18. Sounds like you did pretty well! Just curious, how do you know that shad do not exist in this particular lake? I fished my lake for 5 years before I realized it is loaded with big gizzard shad...
  19. Catt... if that guys dumps fish guts there 2 or more times a week, the gator will eventually associate that man and feeding time... therefore, I would think this has the same effect as someone feeding gators food that is not natural to them?
  20. If I sent my wife there, could Paula teach her to fish? BTW, checks in the mail for the wedding ring!
  21. Rods on a plane... kinda like the movie Snakes on a plane??? Call the airline you are flying and ask about their policy on fishing rods...
