  1. Congrats seems like you got a steal
  2. Picked up the mojo rig last year and it's a staple now. You can use about any soft plastic on there, baby brush hogs and robo worms have been good for me. My favorite so far has been the grande bass baby rattlesnake.
  3. Cotton candy lizard with a chartreuse tail, I don't get it but the bass sure hammer them
  4. Got skunked today, first time in a very long time. Water was pretty clear but the wind was crazy. Couldn't buy a bite, and I threw the whole bag at them. I also didn't see any bait fish activity near the banks. Pretty frustrated after today hopefully this weekend is better.
  5. Had some luck on the ned rig recently on the conservation lakes. Seemed like they were still pretty scattered out
  6. Looks similar to the pelican bass raider which is a very popular little boat. There is a huge thread here with all kinds of info and modifications. I am strongly considering one of these types of boats after reading that thread you should check it out. I believe it's called "Any pelican bass raider owners". Hope that helps
  7. Man I use to kill them on torpedos when I was a kid and just starting to bass fish. I still have several in my tackle box but honestly haven't tied one on in many years. Not sure why I guess I've just found "newer and better" lures these days. Brings back some great memories. It's like the "original whopper plopper" lol
  8. Thank you for your service
  9. Let's go Blues!
  10. I'm sure I'll get flamed but I'm use to it, How bout them Cowboys!!!
  11. I've never seen anything cool really, back in Texas we'd occasionally see some pretty big gators. Here in Missouri there's always a few meth heads roaming about but certainly not rare
  12. This all day
  13. Ima and Kahara make smaller frogs also. I have no expirience with them but they caught my eye
  14. Love the pad crashers, I have several colors and varieties but most of the time I like the standard pad crasher jr in black. I typically only go black and white for frogs but I have had some luck with bluegill/shad colored frogs. I'm so ready to throw the frog around there isn't a more thrilling way to catch a bass for me.
  15. Lol those calls can be very frustrating for sure, but sometimes they are funny and a nice moment of levity. That's really cool that the dispatch center let you sit in with them, it's a great idea and can be really eye opening for the public. It's not at all what most people think.
  16. I'm a 911 dispatcher. I dispatch police fire and Ems, night shift. It's a thankless job for little pay. I work overnight, weekends, and holidays. When the phone rings you never know what the situation will be but you do your best to help. You experience every emotion possible, from heartbreak to the high of saving a life to terror sometimes all in the same hour. I took a 30k a year pay cut from my last job, and I couldn't be happier. I would do it again in a heartbeat. It certainly is not for everyone but for the most part I love my job.
  17. Right or wrong I have only ever used the 5 inch. No particular reason that's just what I have always used. You guys got my attention though I may have to pick up some 4 inchers
  18. Guilty, honestly I can't remember the last time I tossed a trig worm. Seems I always reach for a creature or craw when t rig. I need to get back to basics sometimes.
  19. I throw spinner baits all year, during pre spawn a red with gold blades is money for me.
  20. I don't limit myself at all, never know what you might need. I bring a good bit of gear, most stays in the vehicle but it's there if I need it.
  21. Mega strike or smelly jelly on any soft plastic I use
  22. Tough question I love many different squarebills. I'd probably have to say a lucky craft 1.5 would be tough to beat. Gunmetal shad or to gill
  23. I love most of the grandebass baits. I've been using the rattlesnakes for years, and the new airtail line have been productive as well.
  24. d**n bait monkey....Now my wife says I'm cut off for a while. Well see about that
  25. Lol that stings a bit...I sure do miss Texas. I have been out once and caught 2, but that is changing this weekend hell or high water.
