  1. Put me on the floroclear love wagon. I've used it for years and never had any issues. I've found it to be very strong and reliable, now I'm not saying there's not better line out there but for the price I love it.
  2. I think zona and hackney would be a blast.
  3. My favorite is a yum dinger called "bream". Also black and blue, green pumpkins, or watermelons
  4. I'm still working on my confidence with a shakey head, I've had some success and find I go to it more often now more and more. I've just been using trick worms and zoom finnese worms, but I've got an order coming with some plasma tails and fat robo worms that I think are going to be great.
  5. Sweet, always cool to see the antique lures and see how far baits have come. Very cool
  6. Drop shot or mojo rig I can't decide between the two....really hard question because I use a lot of finesse teqniques
  7. I listen to Pandora radio with ear buds when I fish alone, which is most of the time. If someone is with me then I don't. Nothing in particular depends on my mood. Lots of George Straight and sometimes a little rock.
  8. I don't need this type of negativity in my life....lol only kidding man good luck. Now if you will excuse me I need to check tackle warehouse for a "few" things.
  9. That's a tall task my friend, I've spent my entire life almost buying tackle and accumulating my collection, I'd say thats probably true for the most of us. Even so I still buy tackle constantly. I can't imagine trying to do that in a month. In my opinion you might need to narrow down a few techniques that you have confidence in and start to build from there. I would start simple, a few Spinnerbaits, Texas rig, Senko, and topwater. Start with the basic colors green pumpkin, watermelon, black soft plastics. I could be totally wrong but that's how I got started.
  10. I use megastrike or smelly jelly mainly to mask any scents that might work against me. I don't know if it really works but it makes me feel better. I haven't used jjs magic but sounds like I need to give it a try
  11. Hard to beat a chrome/blue back imo
  12. how do you like those cabelas chuck its? They look good but I never pulled the trigger on them.
  13. Ditto mostly 1/4 and 3/8 ounce lipless for me also, numbers but the big girls eat em to.
  14. Pile it on for the pad crasher Jr never got a bad one and the catch fish. Also like the live target 55s. There are two smaller frogs I haven't tried but I'm pretty interested in are the Ima dabeat, and the baby kahara frogs.
  15. Stopped at a pond for a few hours, fishing was tough but managed two on a dropshot. The new bucuu is great, casts even small lipless cranks like a dream. Loads up beautifully and is very sensitive. Didn't catch one on it but so far very happy with it.
  16. I really like it so far. Excellent craftsmanship and is really light. I may run out this morning and give it a test drive.
  17. The bait monkey got me again...he is so strong and I am weak...went into bass pro to check out the sale, not really impressive but I did find more than I anticipated. The bucoo Sr was from tackle warehouse I just got it in yesterday so I snuck into the picture.
  18. I put my hands on one in the store and loved it,really light and the craftsmanship looked perfect. Mine is still in the mail ill be sure to let you know what I think when I give it a test run.
  19. I've always been a mono guy with cranks either 10 or 12 pound stren original or big game.
  20. I just bought a new Falcon Bucoo Sr and i was disappointed to find it was made in china, however I have had several falcon rods over the years and all have been great, I expect nothing different with this one.
  21. I think he's referring to the h20 version of the live target hollow body sunfish. I have also had really good experience with all my h20 baits, love the cranks.
  22. That's a great point, I fish vegetation and sparse timber almost exclusively. I opted for the graphite for the sensitivity with the smaller cranks and type of cover.
  23. Well after going back and forth and looking around I decided on a 7 foot medium moderate falcon bucoo sr. It's on the way now is the hard part, waiting....
  24. Thanks for the help, I think I'm leaning towards a good moderate graphite, looking at the falcon Jason Christie editions, the new Daiwa tatula xt, also academy has a new h20 express ethos and I've heard really good things about those rods. Thinking 7 foot medium/moderate. Would love to hear some opinions on those rods or any other I should check out. The enigma rods kind of interested me to but I don't k ow anyone who has used them. Thanks again
