  1. Fivebasslimit told me about these deep cranks on another topic, and I was just wondering if anyone else throws em? I am going to buy some and was just wondering what everyone else thinks of them thanks Matt Strykul
  2. RIGHT! And make sure you keep that knot tight on the lucky craft. It hurts a little when you lose em. MattStrykul
  3. No, its definetly not the hooks, I didn't even have time to set the hook a few times. I was using Gamakatsu 4/0 EWG they're my favorite.
  4. Nah its actaully the occoquan reservoir up in Northern Va. We had a little luck on topwater at gaston but they were shortstriking BAD. Biggest fish was close to 3 pounds. Thanks for the tip on the mann's 20+. I love throwing deep cranks.
  5. Thanks guys. Sam I would try those but really don't like throwin wacky rig in 25 feet of water. I tried a 5 inch senko on a carolina rig but that didn't get me any bites.,
  6. Tomn I know what your saying but this boat is real stable. We are going to shorten the seats anyways, we are too short for them ;D
  7. So yesterday my brother and I went out fishing from about 2-7pm. We were fishing a reservoir where we have to fish pretty deep to catch fish so thats what we were doing. We got quiet a few bites but it was more like the fish were just swiping at our baits. I was throwing a c-rigged Baby brush hog and my brother was throwing a 5 inch lizard c-rigged. He caught 2 on a shakey head but they were still swiping at that as well. We were fishing between 18-30 feet, and I don't think the depth is a problem because last week we were doing very well fishing that deep, and we did have alot of bites. What would you guys change to if they are just kinda smacking the bait?? Thanks alot Matt Strykul
  8. Guess the last topic got deleted or something ;D oh well. Heres the pics again.
  9. Burley, I'm having some bad luck with Norman D22 hooks as well. I had one fresh out the box and went fishing and about 10th cast had one on. Not too big, but the hooks just weren't that sharp to begin with. People say to change them. Goodluck finding size, sorry I was no help ;D
  10. I was at gaston this past weekend and those fish were just shortstriking my buzzbaits so bad. I threw on a trailerhook and it helped alot, and caught all my fish on just the trailerhook. The wait is very very difficult.
  11. Funny thing is I don't skateboard, I rollerblade. I was kinda iffy about the picture with the shirt because of it too. I was just real cold that morning and I had no other long sleeved shirts ;D. I was gonna play it off too that it was a Dolce shirt, but Speedbead got me on it. ;D ;D

Jumping in makes all the difference. I 've been going out on 95+ degree days lately and staying on the lake from 6am-8pm and once you get in the water it just revives you.
  13. Thanks alot guys. We are headed to Gaston this weekend, I'll be sure to get some pictures.
  14. ;D ;D You bet I would! My uncle has done it a few times as well. I don't even think that you would get into that much trouble.
  15. Mak where do you live??
  16. Moby what line do you use? I used braid forever with jigs, fished them all the time and pretty much never got bit. Switched to mono a few weeks ago and have been catchin em left and right, bigger fish too!
  17. Thanks guys, We had close to 18 lbs one day. Just if we could do that well during one of the tournaments. ;D 6 fish limit btw
  18. We have been fishing the occoquan reservoir this week with some great luck. Fish were all caught deep. We got there at 6am and fished until about 8 oclock. It reached 98 degrees and boy was it hot. Great fishing though, caught around 35 fish over 3 days.
  19. Age doesn't show talent. I have been rollerblading since I was 7, and doing competitions since I was 8. I skated every chance I had and won alot of competitions and knew alot of people. I was pretty well known, and still am in the rollerblading community all over America. I have been sponsored since I was about 11-12 years old, and I still am now. Rollerblading is a very bad industry and really the pro teams get free things, but a 40-50% discount aint too bad either. Just have fun, learn as much as you can, and practice. Get to meeting people, talk to anyone and just get as much info as you can. Fish in tournaments, go to expo's, do whatever you can to just get out there man. I know you weren't asking how to get sponsored, but I know at your age I was definetly thinking about it, I'm sure you are to bud. Good luck to you my friend. Matt Strykul
  20. Yeah I was reading on some other websites that all you have to do is change out the carb and sometimes the main jet.
  21. I've heard alot of people talk about converting their 9.9 hp motors into 15's and such. I know they aren't joking around either because their boats are way faster than my boat. I'm talking 2 big guys in a boat (200+ lbs) just completely smoking my brother and I (100lbs each). Maybe they can only do it for 2 stroke motors or something, I was just wondering how you do it. Not really worried about it, just want to know if anyone here has done it, or has heard of it. BTW this lake we fish tournaments at is 9.9hp limit and pretty much everyone of the boats is over than HP.
  22. Yesterday was bluebird skies here and we killed them with Carolina rigs . We were using baby brush hogs.
  23. Big M you sure do keep yourself busy! Nice looking baits
  24. Thats a sweet boat! Are you gonna put a back deck on it??
