Trout, I thought this fish was 6+, the picture doesn't even do it justice of how big it was. It was only 5.2 though, weighed on a digi scale.

I sure hope so, I always make a goal at the beginning of each year for fishing and last year it was get above a 5 lb fish, I came close a few times with fish I knew would be bigger than 5, but stuff always happened, broken line, thrown hook, stuff like that. This year my goal is to get 6+ lb fish. Of course my 1st goal is really learn as much as possible, but that is a given.

$50 dollars is way to steep, I'm sure there are people out there that will buy em, but its just too expensive even for some tournament anglers. I just recently got a luckycraft for my birthday and I'm not going to lie, it is one of the best lures I've ever owned. I really do like them, but 15 is my limit.

It's not supposed to reach 22 feet deep, they don't even say it will reach 22. They say the deepest depth is 18'

awesome! I have a similar story, its just not a success yet. I just got my first luckycraft jerkbait, and I got it for my birthday. I caught my newest pb on it, and I lost it on a tree in about 9 feet of water! I saw it on my aqua vu, and tried getting it with the cast net but no luck, anyone have any secrets to getting lures like this? I know exactly where it is too.

You'll get em. This is my 1st real year of fishing, before this my PB was 4.2.

It was just before dark when I caught this fish, I got her on a jerkbait. When I looked in its mouth it had another fish in there already! ;D She weighed 5.2 lbs and its my new PB. Just thought I'd share

I usually just take the hook out fast and say thanks, then tell them to tell their granpa and grandma to eat that black blue jig. ;D

What were you fishing them on structure wise? A tree, rocks, ???

I dont mind them but one time one did happen to fly off and the line broke with it :'( lost the top half. Usually you can just reel it in.

I have 2 extreme rod and reel bps combos and they're REALLY good. They are very tough, and there is alot of sensitivity in these rods. I have a 7' MH that I use for crankin and it works just fine. My other one I use for jigging, they are amazing rods. I reccomend them

I know this may not work for you since you fish in a canoe, but if you know the general area throw a cast net out and it would definetly pick it up. Just a suggestion though. ~Matt

Funny story about these otters. One day, my little brother (at the time only 12) and I were out on our jon boat fishin. We wen't down to a small cove where we fished before but not too often. We heard this HUGE splash which happend to be the otters tail but at the time we didn't know and we wen't in thinkin it was a fish. 2 Minutes later we heard flopping and this crazy breathing soudn and we look over and see this otter literally stuffing a huge fish into its mouth. We were far away from it but at the time my brother practically peed his pants cause he was so scared cause we didn't know what the heck it was. Later on we foudn out that it was an otter though, but still a little spooky. Especially since it had a HUGE fish ;D

Thats crazy, our BPS is in a mall with midevil times as well. That is in baltimore though, I see you are from GA?

enough that I use all of it exept a few. 12 spinnerbaits 4 buzzbaits 1 slim dog 3 jigs whole bunch of plastics 12-15 cranks ;D

I have to tell ya, I have 2 BPS extreme reels and they're REALLY good. They are tough, and seem to never backlash bad *knock on wood*.

last week my little brother caught a rod! it wasnt a good one, but it had a nice rat l trap on it ;D. At burke lake (a small lake near my house) It is electric only with alot of structure, my brother thought he was snagged and felt coming lose, so he pulled it in with a crankbait, egg weights, rat l traps, and some other things, we coudlve got out with like 5 lures but most were just too gross to take with us.

I prefer having the skirt come off 8-) ;D ;D ;D ;D your the man avid.

Sam, We were right at our dock as you can see. You can actually see mine on the ground behind me. My brother had his off because he was gettin off the boat, and we had been at our dock for about 2 or 3 minutes waiting for my dad to get his camera. I understand they are important to wear, but I'm not sure why I felt like I had to explained myself to you.
