Braided Line Snapping - Help!!
If you tie a polomar knot, you will be losing alot of jigs my friend! I lost so many jigs tying polomar's and was too stubborn to change it up, but it definetly was slipping on hook sets. If its actually line snapping, check your guides and make sure they aren't sharp

Gaston last weekend
Yeah no joke Sam...That thing was just full of power! The other funny thing was it was dark, the sun just went down and I was out on the boat with my 2 younger brothers, it just soudns like a perfect story. I really think it was a big ol striper. How often do you fish Gaston Sam?

Gaston last weekend
I don't know too much about Kerr, but I've heard its "all about fishing the islands, humps, and flats". Gaston really is a great fishery, go for it! Lots and lots of docks on Gaston, you can probably always catch fish off of the docks.

New PB! Finally
Nice fish! You shoulda cleaned him off after this pic, then taken another with him clean cause even if he got away you'd still have the 1st picture.

Gaston last weekend
Went down to Gaston for the weekend, and it was definetly tough! We didn't fish all day, because we wakeboarded, and just relaxed some but still didn't catch much. Got there Saturday at around 10 oclock and went out for a few hours. My brother missed one on a 7 inch ribbontail worm, and I caught one on a crankbait. We went out again that night and the action was definetly better. I caught a nice keeper sized bass on a LC sammy, and then my brother caught one on a worm again. His was a good 2 lber. It got dark, so I switched to a crankbait. 1st throw I had something huge on....Biggest thing I've ever had on in my life. I hooked up with it, then I reeled it in close to the boat then it BOLTED. It took about 100-150 feet of drag, I had no control of this fish. This was on my 7' MH rod, and I am almost positive it was a huge striper in the 25-30lb range. It pulled our boat around too. It popped right off the hook about a minute into the fight, boy was I angry. We each caught another one on worms that night, both keeper sized. Sunday morning was a nice hour and a half out there as well. Threw the LC sammy again and sure enough, 5th or 6th cast one just sucked it down. My brother caught one on a worm again, and that was about it. Thanks for reading my long story! Matt

Last fountainhead tournament for the season
For me atleast, we didn't make it to the classic, but we didn't fish even a quarter of them so we weren't expecting it. We did really bad today, caught 4 with 2 shorts and the 2 keeper sized fish were small. My brother caught 2, and so did I. I caught 1 on a LC Sammy, and one on a jig. My brother caught his on a shakeyhead, and jig. Fished Ryan's dam pretty much all day with very little luck. Someone was fishing across from us, and they were wearin em out in the morning though. I really hope they made it to the calssic, because they said they were in 17th for the year, and they only take the first 15. I believe they had a 17 lb bag. We only had 3.8 lbs but we weighed in anyways ;D. Mr. Blank, and Ledbetter, took 1st today with a big bag of fish. I believe it was 4, 4lbers, and a couple of 2 lbers. They came in first by only a few ounces. I'll post pics one they're up. Flippin4it, was that you today??? Can't wait until next year, if they're still going on. Matt Strykul

labor day tourney scam!
- Gotta love the community holes (occoquan res)
Sure thing- Gotta love the community holes (occoquan res)
Here you go Slomoe..... The red circle is ryans dam, the blue dots are huge (usually underwater) pylons and the blue line is a very good spot to fish besides the blue dot farthest away.- Bow mount trolling motors
If you are looking for one WITHOUT the footpedal there is an easy fix....Just buy the regular transom mount one and flip the handle around, it takes all of 3 minutes on a MK.- Gotta love the community holes (occoquan res)
Drums is right. You definetly cannot miss this thing. I would love to get a spot there tournament day, they're always people there. They always beat us there with their "9.9's"- Gotta love the community holes (occoquan res)
I was just casting out and letting it hit bottom and just let it sit there for a while (up to a minute) and then started shaking it for a little and then let it sit again. Same with the jig just drag it instead of shaking it. Fall should be great, I can't wait. Its right aroud the corner- aba tournaments
Hey 5BL do you fish the B.A.I.T. team tournaments as well?- Gotta love the community holes (occoquan res)
No joke. I can't believe how low the water is...its unreal. I heard that it happened last summer as well- my new $125 boat
Nice~! I think you could have decked above the seats, but I guess better be safe than sorry - Gotta love the community holes (occoquan res)
