  1. I love the picture of Jolie in with the rods. And those random paper towels? ;D
  2. Hahhahahaha. That guy is such a waste of oxygen.
  3. Nice lookin setup man. I'm going to buy another one soon, best rod I've ever had.
  4. Suspending jerkbaits on mainlake pockets seem to work good. Also the mouths of these pockets have worked for me.
  5. Dual screens are fun ;D
  6. A ton of time is put into these cars. My step Dad is very very into cars and collecting older ones. He has been waiting for his Chevelle for well over 3 years. It was only supposed to take 1. I will take pics when it gets here in the near future, it is an amazing machine, and the craftsmanship is out of this world. It looks like a new car on the inside, but old on the outside.
  7. After thinking about it for a while, it's not just a lure but a technique. Dropshotting for me. Only caught 2 fish doing it and I really work at it. That is really all I can think of, I do fairly well with cranks and spinnerbaits, and jigs and topwater are my favorite. Can't forget the good ol plastic worms and C-rigged lizards. I fish a wide variety, my problem was not having a go to bait, which now I see is definetly the jig.
  8. Don't worry Hawg Caller you'll get the big one soon man. You gotta love throwin that jig around, throwing jigs is one of my favorite things to do. Looks like you're catchin numbers though!
  9. I didn't catch those beauties, some other guys in the tournament did. I have no info on them, sorry.
  10. All I know is that the Occoquan Res. has some huge crappie..... These are from the bass tournaments that they have at the Res every other weekend. They must have been biting that day cause both were caught the same day.
  11. 14' semi V with 9.9hp. Bought it for $350!!! Motor runs like a champ, it was such a steal. Had to do some work on it, but it was fun cause I got to work with my brothers, Dad, and grand Dad. Some really really good times. This piece is hinged for extra storage, and more deck space. Still need to add a hatch in the front for more storage, doing that sometime this week actually.
  12. That is one beautiful boat, sir.
  13. "Got one" "There he is" Sometimes I say nothing, my hookset is loud enough ;D
  14. Woohoo for coleman crawdads.
  15. That is an absolute GIANT.
  16. Look at the head on her!! What a hog
  17. Definetly go with the jig, and I have also heard when the crankbait bite turns off to throw a grub. I've never thrown a grub more than a few times but it's worth a shot.
  18. Sam, Yes we do wear are PFDs. We actually have the mustang inflateable ones so I usually just throw it off for the pics. Not to mention it's no fun handling a fish in the net for even a minute without getting that darn pull string stuck! I think it's like 20-30 dollars for a replacement cartrige too.
  19. Thanks for the kind words everyone. LBH, the North Face definetly keeps me warm Burley, the carrot stick is a 6'9 MH and I was throwing a 1/2 ounce jig on it (mainly cause I knew they were biting the jig, and who doesn't want to use a new rod?) but it held up extremely well. I just saw at Delo's that they now have 7 XHVY carrot sticks, which is what I'm getting next.
  20. 1st tourney of the year! Good luck, I can't wait till my first tourney this year I am so excited.
  21. Thanks Ryan! It really is a great feeling. Steve, I don't even know what to say.... ;D ;D tell you tomorrow. Thanks though man Matt
  22. Hey everyone, just got back from the lake and man was it a good, cold time. Caught a new pb of 6.68 lbs on a jig this afternoon. Saturday my brother and I fished the main lake. We tried docks, and steep drops and I only came out with 2 and my brother with 1. The first one I caught was about 2.5-3 pounds and that was on a crankbait, my second was on a jig off a dock which was a dink. Today we stayed in our creek (Peahill) and got on a pattern by gettin up real shallow and throwin jigs into about 20+ ft of water and bouncing them up steep inclines. If it wasn't steep, they weren't there. I caught 7 today and my brother got 2 ALL on jigs. Yesterday and today it was cloudy, and very cold. Water temps under the 50 degree mark. I also got to use my new carrot stick and all I can say is WOW. This is by far the lightest rod I've felt and it fishes extremely well. The first picture is of the fish I caught on a crankbait Saturday, and the rest are from today. All fish were released, as always. Thanks Matt Strykul
  23. People that look at me and are thinking...."What is this 12 year old doing driving that truck!?!??!?!!" Actually, it doesn't bother me, I just think it's funny ;D
  24. I'm not sure if they're made in USA. It's a good question because my carrot stick was held up in customs on the Canadian border! It's coming tomorrow though so I'm pumped ;D
