  1. I read that they were taking card numbers and buying bunch of crypto
  2. Yep I feel the same way! But you can find certain shallow ponds that have good fishing this time of year.
  3. I heard there was a scam going on when ordering off tackle warehouse during Black Friday. Hackers were taking large amounts of money from bank accounts. I saw it on Facebook. Check your bank accounts.
  4. I fished last weekend. No idea water temps. No fish finder. 2 ponds. smoked em on a tube jig. Biggest went 4lbs, Only one on a blade, and hair jig. As it gets colder out I fish deeper ponds. I know some guys that do very well in shallow ponds on jerkbaits. If Im fishing a shallow pond Im using a swimbait, jig or jerkbait. If I’m fishing a deep pond, fish more finesse, jig, hair jigs, blades, plastics. It’s more so about find pond that have active bass and finding out where they are in that pond. Some places are much much better then others for cold water fishing. Your favorite spring and summer pond can seem like an empty body of water in the fall and winter.
  5. I love marabou or rabbit zonkers. I tie a variety. Sparsely tied to bulky.
  6. I need a 3 piece, and a trout from Joey
  7. Saturday a buddy and I wanted some smallies, beautiful day bit chilly. We struggled, no fish finder I forgot the power cord for it. I got 2 smallies a few small yellows and a nice white on a blade. Had a whack on a tube and got a pickerel at sunset. sunday, I busted out the yak. Hit a pond I’ve been to once 7 years ago. Started off with a blade and tube. Paddled around, finally found em. Quick flurry of action, got 4 bass quickly in one area. Got 3 on a tube and 1 on a jig I made. Twin 2.10s, 3.5 and a 4. No other fish for the rest of the time at this spot. Sun setting I tried for a hailmary at my honey hole. Quickly got one on a blade, then bunch on a tube. I ended up with 6 bass a few nice perch and a pickerel. All in an hour. Nothing big biggest was just shy of 3.
  8. Holy hell 3 6lbs smallies? That’s something to talk about. Wow
  9. @bass.slayer69 congratulations on the PBs. How big were they
  10. Comes with experience. I think about this often. Just naturally set the hook without even thinking about it. Like 2nd nature. Jigs and swimbaits, hit for the fences. Anything else a swift quick hook set is all I need
  11. Thanks bud! I smashed my walleye and laker PB!
  12. Sooooo the salmon I caught. The first one hit a small 1/32 ounce jig I tied up, under a float. The other 2 in the river, one on another jig and one on a bead bottom bounce. The last one I caught today in a different was on a bead. The walleye, one was caught on an epoxy jig, the other on a blade bait. They were in an eddy near rocks. The lake trout were on a zoom fluke bottom bounced. The big steelhead I hooked, was a new Pb, that was on a jig I tied. I hooked a monster salmon on my jig in the same spot of the walleyes. Hooked another monster salmon floating a shiner in the same area as the walleye and other salmon.
  13. NY was hard. We worked hard for fish but we got them. Lot of walking and driving. Total miles driven 1458. Total miles walked 13 Wednesday was ok. I got 3 salmon. We fished a few rivers looking. Didn’t see much. I lost 2 big steelies. Thursday was brutal. I hooked one king. We did net a few micro species which was cool. Some new species for me. Friday we hit the Niagara. Our first time there. I got 2 walleye. Lost a monster king salmon at the net. Would have been a new PB. I got a nice laker. Saturday , I hooked and lost another big king. Got 2 lakers. Had many hits tho. Lost some real big lakers! Sunday before we headed home. Stopped at a few spots looking. I got one more big king! This year was the worst year I’ve seen for NY. Usually more steelhead, browns and king salmon in the rivers. But we barely saw any fish. I’m really happy to fish the Niagara. That saved the trip. Total tally. 4 king salmon. 3 lake trout. New PB. 15.8lbs, 36 inches. 8lb and 9lbs 2 walleye. New Pb no idea length or weight Round goby, Tadpole madtom Creek shiner Northern sunfish Banded killifish Emerald Shiner
  14. Solid advice man! I’ll try and swimbait fish this spot!
  15. I doubt there’s a DD. I live up here I Massachusetts. The shore is very limited. So I fish here in a yak or boat. Yak when I’m alone.
  16. Yea I love this spot. Awesome fat healthy fish and they fight hard to! Pretty easy to find them in the cold. They hold up in one area. 20 acres and 25 feet deep. I need to know where that pond is lol. I need a DD bass, hard to come by up here in Massachusetts
  17. It’s awesome! I was there late January, pond 80% frozen with skim ice. I ended up with 5 bass and 5 pickerel on jigs I made. I only fished 2 hours. All 2-3lbs fat healthy feisty fish All yellow perch. 3 yellows over 2lbs. These yellas fight like bass to. I never know if I have a bass or big yellow
  18. My favorite cold water spot. My buddy lost a giant smallie here years ago when we first started fishing it. But that’s one of the few smallies I’ve caught. Mostly largemouth
  19. I’d fish blades for smallies
  20. I’m bringing a variety, Jerkbaits, spoons, jig/swimbait, in-line spinners, beads, hair jigs
  21. Been watching a bunch of videos. Found a few areas to hit. Got a few packed. Those will catch everything
  22. Basically every reservoir in MA is off limits. Except the Quabbin, wachusett and Sudbury, limited season. Very regulated
  23. Heading to Lower Niagara next week. First time there. We are targeting steelhead and salmon. Was hoping to catch white bass and waleyes as well. Would love to cross these off my bucket list. Any advice for them from shore?
  24. One of my favorite baits for winter up here in cold Massachusetts is an 8 inch floating hudd rigged to barely suspend under the surface
  25. So the pond I recently fished has a bunch of healthy fat fish. All the same size. 2-4lbs. They are aggressive but all very healthy. I don’t think I’ve broke 5. This place also grows big perch. I’ve caught 3 perch over 2lbs here. Do I suck or does it not have what it takes to grow bigger bass. Like 5 plus.
