  1. Good job guys getting out! I managed a nice schoolie off the beach on Friday! Went out Sunday looking for my Birthday tuna. We fished sunrise to sunset. Had one big fish hit, but that was it
  2. I’d fish a zoom fluke
  3. There’s spots that don’t freeze and bass are hungry. Last were we finally got ice on the cape. I was ice fishing Monday, open water fishing/catching bass the next day a few miles away from the ice fishing spot! always open water fish to catch
  4. The spring was awesome. Not a ton of big fish but did have a week were I slayed. I stopped bass fishin shortly after dye to saltwater. May was great for salt! New species for me bucketlist fish. June-August sucked! Worst striper fishin I’ve ever had. Then September came, it turned into the best ive ever had
  5. Go on an adventure. Make a day of it.
  6. Window? Open water fish year round
  7. Fish will stack up on certain spots in winter. Try to find spring holes and living weeds. Springs will be the warmest water. Ground water is naturally about 50 degrees. While it doesn’t have oxygen it will warm up the surrounding water. If you’re getting green weeds you’re in the right areas. Fish blades, jigs, ned rigs. I really love blades and hair jigs for winter deep water fishing.
  8. I think the northern bass will feed better in super cold water. I’ve had awesome days on kayak when the pond was 3/4 frozen or catchin topwater fish when water was in the low 40s
  9. Anyone tried drop shotting flies? I tied some flies on a 1/0 and #1 octopus hook with some marabou and flash-a-bou. Wonder how these would work instead of a regular soft plastic. Hair never stops moving in the water, very natural.
  10. Another killer day. Fished 8-2. Smoked them. Scabellys pencils and albies snacks. Few fish over 40 inches. Lot of schoolies and slot fish
  11. Nope this is north of the canal. Lot of fish around
  12. Yep. I love blades and hair jigs in winter. Or big swimbaits
  13. Absolutely hammered the stripers. Ok this is the best day of striper fishing Ive had. Not a soul insight! Aggressive fish. Caught many and hooked many. Got my new PB at 32lbs! They loved the Scabellys 5inch and 7 inch spook! Few fish over 20lbs
  14. I’ll come with ya! I love night fishing, ive had some killer nights in November even with ice on the rods. My buddy got a 6lbs bass in December at night on a wake bait.
  15. Nice fish @MassBass that’s a great day @DogBone_384 was watching football over some family’s house. Get a call that there’s a big blitz of big fish. Get down there about 530 greater with 20lb fish blitzing right at my feet. They were on peanut bunker. Had a few blow ups but not really committing to my topwaters. See an ever bigger blitz down the beach a bit. Got a beautiful 20lb fish on a pencil. Few more blow ups. Change up to a lanciotti psycho gill. Got a small keeper on it, mid 30 inch fish. I move back to my first spot, nothing else. Then some beach goers told me they were going nuts in side the channel. I managed 3 more fish, 2 20lbs fish on a bucktail jig. Best blitz I’ve seen in years. Haven’t gotten this many big stripers in one day in years either. Very happy about it. The striper fishing has been horrible this season for me. 7 stripers since June 1st. All schoolies to. Feels really good to finally get some big fish. Went back out today same area in the boat. Bait was there but so was a big seal. Ended up getting a few whacks. My buddies son got a nice schoolie. Glad he got one! Wish he could of gotten fish like yesterday.
  16. Took a kayak trip around the backyard with a few buddies. Few beers and laughs, I caught 3 stripers on the albie snax, 1 buddy missed one on a pencil and got 1 one. Fun when a 15-20 inch pulls your kayak around on your bass rod. The other buddy didn’t get any fish but found some lures
  17. Yesterday’s trip to the cape for albies didn’t yield the target species, we did get blues, sea bass and fluke. But I wanted albies, bones, Spanish macks king mack, puffers, triggers, banded rudders etc
  18. Hope you guys got on some fish this weekend! It wasn’t a good weekend for me. First plan was to go tuna fishing but that got cancelled. That’s fine. Then we decided to go albie fishing in RI with a few buddies to shore fish. Woke up at 1 am to have the same buddy cancel on me again. He was picking me up cuz I have no car cuz I totaled my car while chasing bones in Ri a few weeks ago. He said he had a bad feeling. I have a bad feeling everyday it’s called anxiety. I was not happy. Very pisser off
  19. I never needed a sticker to fish hedges. But I go during off hours and off season.
  20. Caught some fish over the last few days. Nothing to right home about.
  21. I use commercial grade fishin gear, I love my grundens. They are good for winter and rain.
  22. Yea Me2. I can get bit up here in Massachusetts from February through late November on topwater.
  23. What are some special one of a kind lures you have that always seem to work, no matter what. The one you’ve had since your dad gave it to ya when you were a kid..
  24. I’ve done well flipping it to cover on beefier hooks baits and line
