  1. I've heard nothing but good things about Opus X. My taste isn't refined enough yet for me to justify a cigar that good. In time I will. I've heard that if you are a fan of the Opus X, to try the Fuente God of Fire. They are only about $25 per stick. Opus is one of the few cigars I will spend $20 or $25 on. Only smoke these if you're ready for a really heavy cigar though. There's nothing mild about them. If your into mild cigars RyJ Reserve Real are good and you can't beat the price. Other good ones are the Carlos Torano Reserva Selecta, CAO Criollo is a great mild cigar. Very earthy tasting. And IMO you can never go wrong with any Fuente made cigar. Happy smoking.
  2. Who new, I could've been a trend setter. LOL
  3. I'll have to remember that. That would be cool to see.
  4. It was pretty embarassing having to admit I forgot to put a blade on the clippers. Not much you can do at this point but laugh.
  5. At least you weren't sleeping with a dog and pink quilt. lol My wife just showed me this tonight.
  6. Awesome news! Thanks for the update. Did you check out the restaurant?
  7. Way to long ago! I think it was mid October.
  8. Cast with my left and crank with my right. Left hand is my power hand and my accurate hand. I have zero accuracy with my right hand casting.
  9. When I lived back in KY Gallagher came to town to do a show at our Paramount Theater there. I worked at a grocery store at the time. Would you believe he came in to buy his own watermelons for the show. lol. Apparently he doesn't like talking to people in public. Nobody really noticed him until he got to the check out line. While he was in line people started to approach him for his autograph. He got frustrated threw some money down and literally ran out of the store. One of the funniest things I've ever seen. Gallagher running out of a grocery store very agitated with two watermelons under each arm. ;D
  10. Then whats a senko? ;D A cigar.
  11. So I got one of the old model Calcutta 150s for Christmas and am trying to decide what application to use it for. It's a 5.8:1 ratio. I've got 6'6 and 7'0 M, MH and H to choose from. Anyone out there use one? What do you like it for? Cranks, Spinnerbaits, Worms etc. Just looking for some opinions.
  12. I like using the 3 and 4 blade spinners in clear water like the one fourbizz put up. I use the Booyah version though. I've had success with that. I've also personally had a lot of success with Terminators hybrid blade fished like a spinnerbait. You can also fish it like a buzzbait.
  13. I don't ever set the hook the moment I feel a hit when worm fishing. I had a bad habit of that when I first started LM fishing and I missed a lot of hook ups that way. I always give a few seconds for the fish to take the worm then do as LBH says.
  14. 3:10 To Yuma. Awesome movie. If you like westerns this is a no brainer. If you don't like westerns I'd bet that you would still like. This movie kept me intrigued from the very beginning to the very end. Didn't feel like 2 hrs at all. In a good way.
  15. This is about the time of year I try to remind myself that the 15lb 8oz MA state record largemouth came through a whole in the ice. : Of course I'd take a fish half that size on one of the 4 new combos I have that I won't be able to use for another 2 months staring me in the face.
  16. x2 Nice fish. That looks like some very bassy waters behind you there.
  17. Right there with ya man. The worst part is right about the time the water start to open up it'll get cold again and refreeze.
  18. A 2 wk fishing excursion would be awesome. I'd like to either go up to Alaska and fish for salmon and trout or go somewhere in Canada that's a nice lodge and extremely remote to fish for Pike and Walleye. or fishing for LM in Cali.
  19. I'd go for it. Maybe get some practice on style you wouldn't normally fish. Plus if you've caught LM there before you'll probably catch one again.
  20. Nice pig. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Northeastern Goal - 7lb LM, 5lb SM Lake Erie - 10lb Walleye If I make it down to FL this year or anywhere else in the south for that matter I'd like to stick a 10lber. Lifetime Goal - World Record LM. ;D
  22. and are they matching their reels up with the correct rods? I think most people expect to buy an expensive reel and have the problem instantly correct not even thinking about what rod they are using. The reel is just one small part of the casting system.
