  1. I don't buy it. I think there up to something.
  2. Rays are going to be solid again next year too. With the addition of Tex I still like the Sox to take the pennant next year. The empire will have good players next year but they just seem like they're not really playing like a unit lately.
  3. No way Tex turns it down. Tex plays first, Youk moves to third and Lowell hits the road. Even if they lose money on him they'll make back up when they win the series next year. lol Sox are gonna be sick next year as long as their pitching comes through. Maybe even if it doesn't. lol Elsbury Pedroia, Papi hopefully behind Tex, Drew, Youk. I can't wait for Spring Training to start!
  4. And by all means keep the pics coming. These are great pics! Can't wait until my little girl is old enough to go fishing.
  5. You could always go with some sort of turtle. If I were in your situation though I'd definitely go with a snake.
  6. Yes they are close in size to chinchillas But they're temperament is great! lmao!
  7. You're exactly right! Those guys have truly become saviors over the past few days in my neck of the woods. Amy, Kathryn and I were without power from Friday 8a to Sun noon. It's hard to imagine life, as matter a fact it's impossible to imagine life without electricity. Those 2 and a half days were trying for us and there some people up here in my area that still don't have power and are told it won't be up until Christmas or after. Sorry to hijack Tony. It is beautiful to see and even more so in person.
  8. Great Dane
  9. I think Glenn wants us all to call him everytime we realize we missed an email.
  10. I'd be doing more than just peeing. ;D
  11. I'm not exactly sure of the town that canal was in. Vero maybe? My wifes mother lives on Hutchinson Island so it was that area.
  12. I just looked at my post and kinda reads like a caught a 6 or 7 lber. Just to clarify I caught six or seven 1 lbers. lol Not a 6 or 7 lb bass.
  13. Nah, I was by my self and didn't catch anything of size so I didn't fool with it. I was mainly taking pictures to show my wife what kind of water I was fishing. And to freak her out with the gator sign. lmao.
  14. It also looks like an absolute alligator haven. lol. Being non native to FL I have to admit I was a little intimidated at first.
  15. Yep. Plans have changed. Due to the economy and no offers on the house we took it off the market. We'll be here at least a couple years probably. We're lucky enough that are jobs are going well and they may even get better for us personally in the near future so we've changed our goal to just try to be back in KY before Kathryn starts school. I have to say would love to be close to my family but part of me is happy we'll be here a little longer. We love it up here and have made great friends up here that we'll really miss when we/if we do ever move.
  16. If the lakes didn't freeze around here I'd fish all year round. So my answer is no. Even if you not catchin you can still practice and try new techniques/lures. I'd try jerk baits fished really slow, jigs fished really slow, weightless senkos really slow it were me. Or you can always go live bait. Just get some small shiners or nightcrawlers.
  17. TV shows I'd have to say Andy Griffith. I love watching that show. Movies definately Paul Newman not just because of his acting but because of the person he was. I could watch Cool Hand Luke everyday.
  18. Congrats to your dad. I'll be starting back in the spring after being out for 10 yrs. Oh how I wish I would've done it back then.
  19. Hey everybody. I've been pre occupied for the last 6 months and haven't had a chance to really post. I look around from time to time but though I'd jump back in. Good to see everybody again. Here's a little of what I've been doing. Went down to FL for Thanksgiving to visit my wife's mother and husband and actually did some fishing in the canal and caught 6 or 7 lbers. That's about the only fishing I've done since Kathryn was born. I don't even mind. Kids are amazing. Glenn, the updates are fantastic!
  20. That's the first thing he's done in 8 yrs that I've enjoyed. lol I like the smirk he has on his face kinda "go ahead boy, bring it. I'll give ya an old fashioned Texas beat down. he he he."
  21. burgs and dogs sound fine to me. What time?
  22. Ramp is on Wallum Lake Rd. Wallum Lake Rd or Wallum Lake Park Rd? When I googled Wallum Lake Rd it took me into RI. When I googled the other it took me to the north end of the lake to what looked like a boat ramp.
  23. Is there only one ramp at Wallum?
  24. I was wondering the same thing. I'm down for getting some food before hand if anybody else wants to. Just let me know where. I know nothing about that area as far as food goes.
  25. Very sad news and waaay too young. This guy was a d*mn good sax player and helped shape the Dave Matthews sound. He will be missed. Sax player in Dave Matthews Band has died LeRoi Moore, 46, died from complications of June ATV crash The Associated Press updated 12:29 p.m. ET, Wed., Aug. 20, 2008 LeRoi Moore, the versatile saxophonist whose signature staccato fused jazz and funk overtones onto the eclectic sound of the Dave Matthews Band, died Tuesday of complications from injuries he suffered in an all-terrain vehicle accident, the band said. He was 46. Moore died at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was admitted with complications that arose weeks after the June 30 wreck, according to a statement on the band's Web site. It did not specify what led to his death, and nursing supervisor Galina Shinder said the hospital could not release details. On June 30, Moore crashed his ATV on his farm outside Charlottesville, Va., but was discharged and returned to his Los Angeles home to begin physical therapy. Complications forced him back to the hospital on July 17, the band said. The band went on with its show Tuesday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where lead singer Dave Matthews acknowledged Moore's death to the crowd after the first song. It's always easier to leave than be left, Matthews told the crowd, according to Ambrosia Healy, the band's publicist. We appreciate you all being here. Saxophonist Jeff Coffin, who played with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, had been sitting in for Moore during the band's summer tour. Moore, who wore dark sunglasses at the bands' many live concerts, had classical training but said jazz was his main musical influence, according to a biography on the band's Web site. But at this stage I don't really consider myself a jazz musician, Moore said in the biography. Playing with the Dave Matthews Band was almost better than a jazz gig, he said. I have plenty of space to improvise, to try new ideas. Lead singer Dave Matthews credited Moore with arranging many of his songs, which combine Cajun fiddle-playing, African-influenced rhythms and Matthews' playful but haunting voice. The band formed in 1991 in Charlottesville, Va., when Matthews was working as a bartender. He gave a demo tape of his songs to Moore, who liked what he heard and recruited his friend and fellow jazzman Carter Beauford to play drums, and other musicians. The group broke out of the local music scene with the album Under the Table and Dreaming. The band won a Grammy Award in 1997 for its hit song So Much to Say off its second album Crash. Other hits include What Would You Say, Crash Into Me and Satellite.
