I was thinking and praying for everyone in the midwest this morning as I watched the news. That's just horrible to see. Hang tough guys and gals. Keep yourself and your families safe, everything else can be replaced.

Prayers to you and your family. I'll be thinking about that little guy. My wife gave birth to our first child last Friday. As a new parent I can't even imagine how hard it must be for you and your family. Medical technology is so advanced these days it's unbelieveable what all they can do. Keep us posted.

Haven't been catching a whole lot lately so I decided to head out Thursday evening for some night fishing. Unforutnately I counldn't stop at the lake because my wife was in labor. Woo Hoo!!!!!! Kathryn Rosalee was born Friday June 6th 2008 at 11:07a. Weighted was 7lbs 6oz and 20 inches long. It's like nothing I've ever experienced and better than i ever imagened. I have two of the EXT Pros. They are Morrum'ish. Extremely nice reels and they will cast a light bait with ease. I highly recommend the EXT Pro. Those look pretty nice. I guess they'd be easier to get serviced than a Morrum. Thanks for the tip. Back on topic I'm in agreement with Tin about the spinning reels. I'd really like to see some better spinning reels from Abu that don't cost an arm and a leg. I really like the look of the new one here just hope it doesn't cost a lot.

To me this reel looks like it's going to be a step up from the Revo line in performance and price. If the naming 'Toro' means this real is going to be a bull then this reel should be able to handle some pretty hefty tasks. Judging from the gold plating on the tension knob, line guide and other "ugraded" styling I'd go out on a limb and guess this reel to cost more than an STX. I really don't see ABU adding another line of reels in the $100 - $200 range when they've already got the revo line. The really look nice though. I'm going to have a hard time not pulling the trigger on this one whatever the price (within a reasonable limit). Just as I was ready to pull the trigger on a Morrum they have to come out with this. :

Forcast for Saturday is 70 and partly cloudy. Supposed to be in the upper 60s low 70s all week. Should be some pretty decent fishing this weekend. Anybody else wanna join us at the Quabbin? You'd be hard pressed to find any place in New England that's more beautiful the the Q in the spring.

The weathers definately thrown them and me off. I was out fishing from shore Saturday and also saw some empty beds. I thought maybe they would've just backed off the beds into a little deeper water but no dice. They probably were there though just watching my lures go by. :
