In my opinion and limited experience, yes they absolutely make a difference. As long as you pick the right one. I use J.J.'s Magic and love it. Soft plastics would never get banned from use for fishing. There is waaaay too much money in it for the companies that sell them. They would find a way to keep it from being banned.

Die hard Kentuckians will argue that it has to be distilled in Kentucky, particularly Bourbon County to be considered a bourbon but that I believe is a wives tale.

I knew you were hip.... Nice. That's from my days on a skateboard. I skated heavily in the late 80s/early 90s. Picked up a lot of cool music from skating. Skate videos have some great soundtracks if you into that type music. Still listen to all that stuff weekly.

Welcome aboard. I don't usually make it down to your neck of the woods to much to fish but if you're ever in the Athol area and want to fish look me up. I've got a small jon I take out on a couple of the local lakes and would be happy to take you out.

I don't do whisky but I love bourbon. Woodford and Rip Van Winkle is what I drink the most of. Bakers if I'm feeling frisky. That stuff is about 120 proof so you have to be careful. Unfortunately I live in a pretty rural area of New England and good bourbons are hard to come by up here. I love a glass of bourbon on the rocks and good cigar. It's almost as good as being on a lake.

Crappy weather but GREAT event. It's all for such a great cause it's hard to really complain about the weather. Thanks to you guys for putting it on each year, Delainey, Russ, Mike. I was just happy to be able to be a part of it. Kudos to Natan and Pete for being able to catch 4 fish in such brutal conditions. Congrats guys.

Out of a total of 146 boats I'd say 3rd is pretty darn good finish. I know though, it's not first. Live and learn. Congrats man.

Can't remember. I've loved fishing since I can remember. I was a very lucky kid I had a lot in my family that loved to fish. I've been going fishing as far back as I can remember and have loved every minute of it.

I like the Dropkick Murphy's also. Fugazi, Operation Ivy, Phish, The Smiths, Metallica, The Cure, Miles Davis, Guns N Roses, Dinosaur Jr., Underworld, VHS or Beta, Plastikman, Galactic. That's a few. I like music. 8-)
