15-20 would be good, I have 20 on my spinning rod and I wouldn't go heavier, but I'm thinking of dropping down to 15 just to see if I get any extra casting distance, but yes 15# braid with an 8# leader will work good.

I'm personally not using a trailer, but most people seem to be using the harbor freight 4'x8' trailer. I saw a guy on YouTube that used a jet ski trailer with a couple minor modifications.

They work for me, I just buy the cheap ones at Walmart cause my sunglasses tend to get abused. They work fine.

Is it possible that what you saw was minnows of some sort? I know here in Indiana they are still in prespawn, but there was a ton of small 2"-3" fish up in the shallows this past weekend.

Look for anything different just under the water. If the shore is rock but there's a lone patch of grass, fish it thoroughly. Fish areas where the shore changes, say from rock to sand, and hit both sides of points. Get yourself a pair of polarized sunglasses if you don't have any, that will help locate fish and structure.

I got out this afternoon to a new place close to me. It's in depauw university's nature park but has always been closed to fishing until recently I guess, it always said no fishing in the quarry pond, now it just says no swimming? Anyhoo, I caught 4 that were right around the 2 pound mark, a couple more that were around a pound. They all hit on the Ned rig or a weightless senko Texas rigged, in fact they were really slow to hit the senkos but were killing the Ned rig. A view of the quarry the pond is in, it's a beautiful place to fish, just wish the bank access was better.
