  1. Except where A-Jay fishes ?
  2. I’m tickled with a 3 pounder. They don’t grow up north like they do in Florida or California.
  3. Jeez that’s rough! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before!
  4. We only got to launch Dad's boat a few times but everyone was actually pretty helpful since we were a bunch of rookies ?
  5. Full size bananas cost too much to ship!
  6. Watch the pros unhook them. Just give it a solid pop and you’ll pop the hook back out. Shouldn’t tear up their lip like that.
  7. I caught one off a bed a couple days ago. One problem is they can usually see you, and then they don’t want to eat so that makes it extremely hard. I had him grab my craw trailer by the claws and move it off the bed. I got tired of being patient so I started hitting him in the head with it. Only took a couple smacks to make him attack.

Ok, I’d give you the same look. Dad always talked about using a slide rule but he never showed me how ?

I don’t know why I haven’t been following this thread but I’d love to hear more about these 30 pounders!
  10. A-rig. Alabama rig
  11. No. A buzzbait is topwater
  12. I’ve seen a few animals that didn’t look to keen on being scared, and a few humans that I wasn’t to keen on. But if it ever comes down to it and the bass is big enough...
  13. Yet another reason we should all own an AR-15, then there’s no doubt when it’s laying dead on the front porch!
  14. I’m running a Fenwick HMG medium, with a pflueger president le. I cast a Ned rig easily. I’d give it a shot with the medium first if you already have the st. Croix.
  15. Sure looks like a smallmouth to me. There’s a hybrid called a mean mouth, but I’m not sure on their range.
  16. I fished a frog a little Saturday but didn’t have any luck, I’m not sure I’d rule it out though?
  17. I fish some strips just like you’re descending that are pretty heavily pressured. One thing that always seems to work well was a jerkbait, obviously varying your retrieve based on their mood. Sometimes when they are particularly aggressive you can watch them attack it. Bad for hooksets, but still fun to see! Small popper, the plopper is probably a good idea to. If it’s not heavily pressured I’d chuck a chatterbait in there. I fished a very clear quarry that was pretty much left alone, they loved a chatterbait!
  18. A T-rigged senko, man I thought I had a big bass on, just an average size catfish...
  19. Saw several yesterday on beds out around Brazil. Hopefully in a couple weeks they’re in a post spawn mood for my vacation ?
  20. Why wouldn’t you believe in Santa Claus?
  21. Stranger Things!!! Crap, you just solved it!
  22. I love mine, gotta stock back up though, the bait monkeys been hungry!
  23. Usually just the .45, luckily I haven’t had to use it for bass fishing yet cause I think it might be overkill...
  24. Yeah, you probably did do him a favor, I’m sure the next thing he eats will get smelled and pecked at a lot before he commits!
