  1. That means a lot coming from a Senko lover Can't wait to get out on the lake this weekend to give these a go.
  2. You should look into making a mold of the senkos and melting them down and porting them into new ones. I've been saving all of my used ripped ones for this.
  3. Has anyone tried these? Got my first bag in the mail today and from the video on line they seem to work exactly like a Senko. Just wondering if anyone else has got a bag of them.
  4. I agree, senkos have been working well for me. That wiggle they give off drives the bass crazy.
  5. I was using swivel snaps on a top water frog and noticed it worked much better for me without the snap on there. But that's my 2 cents and I don't know much.
  6. Stained water the same as muddy water? Or is stained water just greenish water.
  7. The lake near me is under heavy pressure I'm honestly surprised I catch anything since my presentation is so bad, but senkos do wonders But the local pond is under heavy pressure as well, but they still constantly hammer my yum worms.
  8. My lady stumbled upon a bag of these for a couple bucks and picked them up for me seeing as how they are my go-to bait when trying to catch a fish. My question is when or where would be the best time to use these?
  9. Sounds like I need a private Lake lol
  10. I was looking into this also and found the same thing, I'd take 5" worms to get a lot more. You should definitely post and lmk what you find out.
  11. That's hot. I was thinking to myself as I was reading your description of her, what's he gonna do if she does look up bassresource.com and sees this post made about her
  12. I just did a quick Google search about them and it said they where coated in some kind of resin or somthing to close the gap on the eye, figured anything would work as long as the gap gets closed so the line doesn't get snagged on it. /e I just tested it out in a 4-0 ewg hook, just a drop or 2 of superglue and kept running a paper clip in and out of the eye till the glue dried, can't get my line to get hung up on the eye no more.
  13. I would suggest going through and reading up on all these topics I'm new as well and still making my way through them all. But the section about senkos and article about "guaranteed to catch fish" it's the way I got my first bass. If you're looking for new places to fish Google Earth is your best friend.
  14. I'm about an hour outside of Stl. In lincoln County. I've found a couple little spots going to check another one out today. Shoot me msg if you want some more info.
  15. I just looked at these hooks, seems to be that some superglue could be used to cover that gap on the eye. I may try that one 1 hook and see how it turns out.
  16. I've got 12# test mono. I'm thinking I either tied a bad knot which would be odd because I had no problem with the fight all the way into shore, or because I tried to lift him out of the water with the rod. Either way I'm not trying to make the same mistake again.
  17. Ah ok, maybe it was some other kind of fish. Just odd that they all jumped at the exact same time. I'll have to look into that knot and try that. Really broke my heart to lose such a nice looking bass first thing in the morning.

If I'm fishing somewhere I know only holds smaller fish I'll use a yum. But in a bigger Lake that holds much bigger fish I stick with the senkos
  19. So I'm fishing a river, and there's a bridge about 200 yards away. Cars are going over every few min.. Then about 30 min into being there (no cads had passed in well over 5 min) I see 20+ bass jump up and breach the water all at the same time. Startled me to say the least.. 15 min later or so they did it again, but this time probably around 15 jumped. Anyone know what cased this? On a side note, I hooked a MONSTER (at least for me at least 3 lbs if not 4+) this morning, reeled him in to where I was and started to bring him up out of the water and my knot broke at the hook, with an improved clinch knot does it hurt if I make more then 5 wraps? I've been doing 7-8. Really heart breaking to have one that big get away when he was literally in my hands.
  20. And I'm glad. I had been fishing for a month or so with nothing till this weekend. Now that I'm starting getting the hang of it it's only gonna get better from here.
  21. Went out to the local pond, got me 3 juvenile bass, still don't have a scale but I'm sure they weren't more then a pound. But 3 in one day is really boosting my confidence. Was also my first time using a jig. Clearly worked very well in the vegetation.
  22. Welcome to the forum. There's lots of helpful people around here and some great topics. Glad to see another fishermen from mo.
  23. First off, I wanna thank Glenn for putting together such a great topic on senkos. I can truly say that I'm sold on these great soft baits. Well under an hour of starting fishing these and I had 2 bites (which I missed setting the hook on) but finally I had a bite and set the hook reallu well, I don't have a scale or tape measure for checking size but I'm really happy with it being my first catch. Also proud of myself for stick to the same bait, I have made it a bad habit of switch out lures after 10-15 min, and not truly using the bait to its potential. Well worth standing out in 90+ degree heat for a few hours. Needless to say I'm definitely hooked on bass fishing and I don't see myself not spending any spare time around some body of water holding fish anytime soon. On a side note, does anyone have any experience with melting down used torn up senkos and molding them into new ones here? If so, please shoot me a msg I have a few questions.
  24. I thought bush wildlife was closed on the weekend.. But I'll find a way to get ahold of you I assume there's a way to send a private message to someone. I know of a coupl little ponds and Lincoln Lake out here but fishing from the bank results in a lot of snags.
  25. So yoyoing would be the way to go with these. Man I can't wait for pay day to put a littlepre gear in my arsenal
