Finally getting some interest going on this. Let's get a list of people that want to participate and set a deadline to have the baits completed. Figure 2 months should be good that Way everyone has time. Allen
  2. That is just the older packaging that LC had before the current red cards. You may want to check on the Flashminnow 110's as I believe they have been discontinued. Allen
  3. Yes John passed away. I have about a half dozen of his lures. Allen
  4. I need to get down there and fish this place as it looks nothing like the C&O canal up where I live. Allen
  5. Bandit 100 and Manns Baby 1- both work really well in the shallow rocky parts of the Upper Potomac. Crayfish and shad colors work best overall for me due to clearer water. Allen

How many people would be interested in a lure swap ? Figured we could get a dozen people to swap jigs so we can see what everyone is able to make. Everyone would make say 12 identical baits and send them all to someone who would then distribute them to everyone else in the group. I have done this before and it is nice to see what works for other people around the country. Allen
  8. Just dug out my airbrush stuff to give it another shot. Allen
  9. I have about 100 different colors of silicone tabs from fishingskirts.com, Barlows, Janns Net craft, Lurepartsonline.com, etc. Additionally I have flat and round rubber, hydro silk, and lumaflex skirts or skirt material. What to use depends upon what you are looking to achieve. Each of these has advantagesand disadvantages depending on what you are looking for. Allen
  10. Here in western maryland most of the crayfish I come across are Spiney or Viral craws. Both change color when they are molting which is good to keep in mind. When they are molting their shell is softer which is why I think bass target certain colored jigs. Allen
  11. Back in the late 80's and early 90's Stanley jigs were what everyone was using. Allen
  12. They are in the Lower Potomac as I have caught one. Allen
  13. I store soft plastics by category in their original bags inside of one gallon freezer bags. This seems to save a lot of space. Allen

  16. http://iz.carnegiemnh.org/crayfish/country_pages/species_by_state.htm This map shows what crayfish live in the US. Allen

  19. ebay is usually the place to find things like that. LC makes both a 65 and 48 size pointer but you need light tackle to throw them. Allen
  20. Buy them up as the Pre-Lews Strike King spinnerbaits were made better. Allen
  21. I make my own using a Do-It Football jig mold and 4/0 Flat eye hooks. Allen
  22. Wasn't that Mike at Carolina baits? He shut down his business that I know of. There maybe someone else selling them so TU is the best place to look. Allen

  24. If you decide to make your own use .032 piano wire frames. Allen
