  1. While I wire tie baits I make I use zip ties on pre-existing lures. Allen
  2. Added some black silicone on the sides. Allen
  3. First try, think it needs two strands of black down the sides. Overall I like it just needs some tweaks. Allen
  4. Longer hooks inhibits the shimmering action of a senko for me. Allen
  5. You can order tubes directly from Bite Rite. Allen
  6. I do as well but sometimes it doesn't matter. Fished our first Thursday evening tournament this week. It had recently rained but the water was gin clear. I was throwing GP and watermelon colors. Partner was using a junebug tube which could be seen 3 miles away. He was catching fish while I was just practicing casting. Allen

And those will nose dive versus the weight being distributed more evenly throughout the baits. The hover jig concept allows the baits to fall more naturally. I understand the concept just not the price they are asking for the jighead? Honestly I can make some for $0.25 each. Allen
  8. Not entirely happy with them personally. Wish I would have painted the belly pearl white instead or regular white. Going forward that will be the paint pattern. I know everyone is going to say it doesn't really matter but I am OCD when it comes to making baits. Allen
  9. Need to make some skirt prototypes to see what everyone likes. I will post some pics of the heads I painted recently. Allen

Head I filed down to make a hover jighead. Allen
  11. Coleslaw colored bait I recently made. Allen
  12. I make my own that are a little less than 1/16oz but the Owner ones Dwight posted are readily available. You can sand them down if you need them lighter which is what I have been doing. Allen

Going to give it a try as I can think of situations where it should work. Already made a couple prototype heads. Allen
  14. I heard the owner passed away and the company closed. Allen
  15. I make all kinds of baits like that but guys want Chartreuse/white. Allen
  16. Generally I like colors that are natural looking, Match the hatch type. Some companies are creating crazy colors and names IMO just to catch fishermen. Allen
  17. Luckily Zoom makes the Swamp Crawler in both of these colors . Jackal makes a color called Cola that's my #1 flick shake worm. Allen
  18. For that bait they make sense for the color. It gives off some flash but not in a unnatural color. Big Colorado black night baits is where I use black nickel the most. Allen
  19. What colors would you like to see more companies make in soft plastics? For me it would be solid black creature baits and Yamamotos Natural Shad for worms. These two colors just flat out work for me. Allen
  20. Nobody mentioned the Zoom Swamp Crawler? It has replaced several straight worms for me. Allen
  21. I do the same, one dark tinted for sunny days and amber lenses for cloudy days. Allen
  22. You can try pouring the bait and then dip the head in harder plastic? Allen
  23. They are dink magnets for LM but work well for pressured river SM. I had such good luck on the little beaver one I had a bunch of similar ones made. Don't have to worry about losing any now as there are a lot of spares. Allen
