  4. Ive been looking for a good baitcaster for under 50 and found this at my local Walmart. does anyone have any experience with it? Would it make a good starter baitcaster? -Zayne
  5. so I got the rod in today! I love it so far, it came in the older black version though and it is very sensitive for a medium heavy rod, I hav so far caught 3 bass, 2 panfish, and a small channel catfish. It performed very well on all these fish and the largest was a bass at 4.23 pounds. I paired it with an abu Garcia orra s in the 30 size. I'll update yall if I change my opinion at all. ya, it came in 3 days for me too! great shipping
  6. I'm from ohio too homes, nw near toledo
  7. check out the abu veritas or vengeance.
  8. I had the 50 and the 15. the 50 was way to stiff and didn't cast well at all. the 15 felt a little weak, but casted alright and had decent sensitivity
  9. ill check it out some time
  10. you should try it out sometime, my family got into it a few years ago and it is a money waster tho... we all have over 2 grand in bikes. my dad has one for 4 grand. I would say try out rays on one of the rental bikes tho. its how we got into mountain biking. ive never tried the triline, though ive heard a lot about it
  11. I use 15lb for spinning and 30 for baitcasting.
  12. are you into biking? I think its a great place to let off some stress and give my knees a beating lol

  17. where you from in ohio? I'm in northwest about an hour away from Toledo
  18. I think you should check out the abu Garcia orra or revo, or the shimano stradic for a spinning reel. for a baitcasting reel id look at the abu revo winch, or for larger game the abu ambassador.
  19. True. And I know! idk why anyone would think the double blood is so strong especially... ive lost many lures to it, and I know I tie it right. but, an opinion is an opinion.
  20. hey guys and gals. I have heard a lot of controversy about what knot is the strongest for fishing. Many people I know say the double blood knot, while some say the knotless, and some palomer, and a few that swear by snell. I would say that the palomer knot is the best and strongest. I also like it for its ease of use. I would like some of your opinions on which knot is the best either by strength and ease of use.
  21. Hey yall, I have always fishing senko weightless texas rigged and I want to know what people think are the best ways to fish a senko. I also would like to know how to fish a wacky rig. does the clearity of the water effect anything? I live in ohio and we have very muddy water and I was wondering if changes anything.
  22. I have never had any problems using braid, from 10# to 150#. id say give it a try
  23. yea, I don't know how to use a casting reel, I use spinning. I want a good bait caster but I cant afford it, I am only 14 and don't have the 300 to spend on a good baitcasting combo
