  1. I've read a Med Heavy Spinning rod is this the best choice for blade baits or what do you prefer?
  2. How do you master a technique I see this often but isn’t it all simple. I mean once you know the rod/line/reel/weight of fall and where to use the technique and how to work it how is there more to master? I just get confused by people saying they want to master x technique this year
  3. Why do you suggest the lower weights?
  4. A-Jay, Do you change the hooks on your higher end baits also like your Duo lipless, Reaction Innovations Vixen and Megabass baits?
  5. Thank you I'm on it now even settings I need to put in? I'm not seeing many contour's looking at big creek lake in Iowa https://viewer.nationalmap.gov/basic/?basemap=b1&category=histtopo,ustopo&title=Map View#/

  7. Thank you sir. How exactly do you acquire these survey maps? I’m currently googling with out much luck.
  8. Lol yeah as long as you don’t fish on the creek channel I’m not sure on I’m ok. The lake is Big Creek Lake in IA Is the channel the blue line or the blue line and the sides (the contours next to it). Is the blue line always a channel when In the lake like this?
  9. I’m having trouble seeing these. I’m looking at big creek lake in Iowa not sure how to link the map sorry. correct me if I’m wrong the creek channel is just the original creek or river than ran before the lake was there. So shouldn’t it be the deepest line through the lake? Any tips to easily finding this on all lakes would be appreciated
  10. For people who fish big baits year around what would be the 3 big bass baits "swimbaits or similar baits" I know anything can catch a big bass but talking about other things besides dropshots/spinnerbaits. Looking probably for 3 baits that would cover the top middle and bottom and nothing to expensive list them if you like because maybe it will be something I can work up to. Spring- Post spawn- Summer- Fall- This is a new world for me and I only know the very basics of Swimbaits like s-wavers,hud etc so I appreciate anyone that takes the time to help me if you don't want to share on this post you can PM me.
  11. What’s everyone use for a good trickle battery charger. Also can I use it once a week or so I rather not have something plugged in all winter
  12. I'm not quite understanding what a ridge looks like on a contour map, From what I think it looks like is a point but more narrow? If anyone can help me better identify a ridge that would be great. Sorry if this isn't that right part of the forum to post this
  13. In this videos comments you mention one pro only Carries 7 rods do you by chance know what models/actions they are not looking for the brand just curious on how he does this
  14. This is your go to jig even when dragging? Do you just take it for what it is when dragging along rocks or will you switch them to a football jig style? The terminator seems to match the Greg hackney line tie. thanks for the info on the line tie good to know.
  15. What do you think of this jig head style https://www.rapala.com/terminator/jigs/pro-series-jigs/Pro+Series+Jigs.html?cgid=terminator-jigs&taglist=Terminator|Jigs#start=1&cgid=terminator-jigs
  16. Thanks do you think the Rapala Shadow Rap Shad is better than Rapala X-Rap Jerkbaits I thought I Read that seth likes that one in the summer. I have the rerange but have most non of them are really loud besides the white sorta of
  17. Since you want to work these a bit faster is there a certain brand that works better during this time of year? Or Is the standards still just as effective? Megabass suspends I just didn't know since you are working it at a higher speed if that is what action you want
  18. figured this would be interesting seeing as everyone lives near different lakes. List your 5 rods on the deck for all seasons here’s mine from Iowa spring- jerkbait glidebait spinnerbait buzzbait senko summer- walking bait power worm jig Deep crankbaits frog fall- As of now just Spinnerbait keitech
  19. Let’s say you are going fishing for 5-8 hours would you pack all your bait in the category you plan on fishing ex jerkbait or would you just make a day box with two jerkbaits? assuming your taking roughly 5 to 8 different styles of fishing jerkbait, crankbait etc
  20. Thank you just trying to learn as much as I can. The normal sexy dawg has more of a rattling trap sound can the other two when does that play? Also is the one knocker a different sound than the rover I’ve yet to buy any
  21. Why do you choose the strike king over the rover and Megabass walking baits you have?
  22. for jerkbaits in general do you only use a spinning rod when using a slient jerkbait because of weight? Also how many jerkbait rods do you have rigged up ready to go 3? 2 med and one spinning?
  23. if you had 6 spinning rods to cover every single thing you may need what actions would you get? 2-7 med 2- 7 mh 2- 7' 6'' ml Is what I'm considering currently
  24. now if it was you would you bother getting these if you already have megabass and luckycraft
  25. Do you think these offer anything different from the current hit market of jerkbaits
