No harm in spooling so early and having them sit?

Outside have access to power to charge them but the extension would have to sit under the snow which isn't a huge deal. I usually take them out and store them inside but have no way of charging them inside

So would it be ok if I left them in a charge every here an now?

How do you recommend storing batteries for the winter? I have two Marine Interstate AGM dual-purpose batteries and three Duracell deep-cycle batteries, group size 31. I can't keep them hooked up in the boat due to freezing temperatures I'm assuming

I’ve tried braid to leader for finesse jigs, but it didn’t feel right. I also tried fishing Dirty Jigs finesse jigs, but I struggled to get a solid hookset—the fish kept throwing the bait. Any suggestions?

Without braid to leader would cause some headaches right? I was thinking about switching to a 5lb mono like maxima but am worried about the line twist being bad with the shaking and reeling

I’m curious about your thoughts on using shad/minnow-style baits in lakes without shad. I have forward-facing sonar, so do you think these baits would still be effective given that the lake has crappie and bluegill? Or would worms and other baits be a better choice?

I was wondering about this, With the new Mercury 4-stroke engines, it’s essential to lower the motor after use to ensure all water drains out. Doing this helps protect your motor, allowing you to keep fishing without risking damage to your boat correct? So I should be able to keep fishing as long as I do this?
