Hey, I guess I shouldn't joke with you young fella. I know its serious stuff for you. Look, the bottom line is, just ask them out, they can't eat you,ya know? I am fifty and in the same boat as you. I have been with Eva for a long time and she pushed me to get married for the last 3 years and I just don't want to get married. We were fine the way it was. That and her being homesick for Austria induced here decision to go back to her country. So here I am, a little heartbroke and single again. Trust me, I am no prize. I am not ready to date yet but, I am a healthy male so..... When its time and I meet someone interesting to me I will just ask her out, simple. Like I said, they can't eat you.

I thought about trying it once after watching some guys in a local creek shoot some huge carp but, I am a firm believer in eating what you shoot. I will not kill for sport only. If I don't eat eat, I don't kill it.

Typically for a used reel or older reel that was only about 129.00 new in its day, I would say a 100 bucks was a little high but, for a older Curado, I would pay it. I have more than enough myself and I am a Abu Garcia guy but, I think the older Curado's were one of the sweetest reels ever made. Most of mine have 12# test on them and they are perfect. I just love them. I think they are one of the best reels ever made and a 100 bucks is well worth it for one in good shape.

I started using FI a few years back and have had a lot of luck on them for green and brown bass as well. I have noticed one thing, at least for me, I tend to miss more hits than usual fishing these baits. I used to use a medium rod for these baits and went to a MH for this reason. It helped me immensely but, I still miss more than usual. Lets face it, Ika's are a lot of meat for a bait. I was using a 4/0 G-Lock Gammy and it helped my sliding down the hook problem. I am always open to suggestions, so.....?, what say you my friends?

I flip a lot of 4"-5" tubes in Black/Red Flake, Green Pumpkin/Red Flake, Smoke/Purple Flake, in the brush, pads, etc. I have found the best hook for me has been a Gammy 4/0 G-Lock hook. The G-Lock seems to hold the tubes well without sliding down.

I was just talking to a Pharmaceutical Rep the other day in the office and he and I were jawing about fishing and he loves these reels. I saw them and I did not think they were all that. He swears by them so, who am I to say?

Eyedabassman, come on man, give it up. I am always open to learn. I need all the help I can get. I love to night fish and I am sure if you guide at night you can help a brother out. Give it up dude,lol.

I have been here awhile and have not heard much about bow hunting. I am a PSE guy myself and next to fishing I love to bow hunt for whitetail. I love being in the stand behind my house and seeing all the wildlife. Its like they are almost used to me being up there. I see a lot of neat things come around the stand like Coyotes, Mink, Foxes, Turkeys, etc. Anyone else? I have noticed from previous post that there seems to be quite a few in here that don't take kindly to hunting, and thats fine, to each his own, I just wanted to know if anyone else bow hunted.

Night fishing for smallies is one of my favorite things to do. We catch a lot of good fish at night here in Western Maryland. The downside is that there are a lot of night tourneys here. That put aside, I usually start fishing at night around the middle of July. To make a long story short we fish bottom structure like rocks and gravel from the bank to about 10' of water along drop offs, points and flats. I use jigs and tubes with rattles and slooooowly drag them along the bottom. I call it counting rocks. They are very aggressive at night as well. We also fish docks that are lighted and draw in bait fish. Top water baits like a Spook or Tiny Torpedo can be good as well but, its hard to beat a tube and rattle. The bats will drive you nuts as they constantly hit your line at night and when you are half asleep you set the hook on nothing,lol. Give it a try, its something we look forward to every year.

There is nothing better than fishing with your kids. Its one time you don't mind the other guy or girl out fishing you, I am sure that day will stick with your son for a lifetime.

Top of the the ninth, two outs, Sox 0, Baltimore 5 and the Sox pull out six runs to win. Unbelievable. I would bet there was some butt chewing in Baltimore locker room !!!

I like to see things remain friendly in here and if you want to know about bed fishing there are plenty of recent post in this forum so you can get a idea on how people feel about this practice. I even had a no name post to get a percentage on the who does and does not bed fish. It seemed that it is roughly 2/3 chose to bed fish, if I remember right. Everyone has the right to make there own choice.
