Get more gas milage out of your truck...

Best spinning reel value
RoLo, you have convinced me to give the Symetre a shot. The next time I purchase a spinning reel I will give it a long hard look. Thanks.

Chatterbait observation
I leave the skirt on and just use it as a trailer. I'm sure it would work without the skirt as well. I've seen one of these for sale new but I can't remember the name. Saltwater Chatterbait maybe?

Best value rod

Chatterbait observation
I like to replace the trailer with a fluke. It really seems to increase the size I catch without noticeably reducing numbers.

Swim Senko
I have used them a few times this year but I can't seem to keep the little ones off of them. I think on a slow bite day they are going to be good to prevent the skunk.

Only one baitcast rod & one spinning rod.
Oops. I meant despicable. I am a spelling Nazi ;D

And to think, I used to value your opinion. What if my wife reads this?!!!!!! Dispicable. ;D

"Japanese Poodles" is False!
I didn't mean it wasn't funny. I just wanted everyone to know the truth. I am not easily offended and don't want anyone to refrain from such humor. I just noticed the original thread was locked, so I assumed the subject was taboo here and so it needed clarification.

"Japanese Poodles" is False!
See the following link for proof. http://www.snopes.com/critters/lurkers/poodlesheep.asp Any time you see a funny story (especially on the internet) that denigrates any race, religion, sex or nationality take it with a big grain of salt. It's probably not true. www.snopes.com is a great place to check the veracity of these bits of humor.

Teachers vs quaterbacks-priorities
Whether it's right or wrong is irrelevent. There are millions of people willing and qualified to teach. there are only a handful of men who are qualified to be a professional quaterback. Rarity = Valuable. When people cease being willing to teach for the salary and benefits offered, the salaries will increase. There must be something intrinsic to teaching that calls people to the profession.

Fizzing kit?
The link I posted shows a technique where one does not puncture the throat or the abdomen. That is the whole point - to protect the fish. It uses a heavy weight to take the fish back down to the proper depth and then the fisherman retrieves the weight and the fish is free and back to normal.

Do you have a Panic Box??
I don't really have a panic box per se, but i will go with shakey head, Senko, Mepps in-line or original Rapala when the going gets really tough.

Adjusting Centrifugal Break Part II
I've never honestly measured my distance, but I can say this: The difference in effort required is very noticeable to me and that results in less fatigue and more accuracy. That is why I choose the least amount of resistance that is practical.

I believe they're referring to the link at the bottum of the main page where one could see the last 10 posts of the entire forum, not an individual.

Fizzing kit?
The link below explains two good techniques for this on page 8. Sorry about the pdf. I couldn't find a good explanation in html. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/MNR/pubs/Fizzing.pdf

Good Plastic for a Beginner
I gotta go with 5" Senko Texas rigged weightless. I have rigged these up for my wife, daughter, son and countless other newbies and they nearly always produce. Also, a hookset is seldom even necessary. The fish won't let go. I've seen many newbies just reel them in and catch a fish without even working them or setting the hook.

Ever do this?
I used to have a MinnKota Powerdrive and I always unplugged the pedal and stored it in the house to keep it out of the weather. One day I drove about 30 minutes to the lake, launched the boat and began to float away when I realized the pedal was at home. I had to paddle back to the ramp, reload the boat, go get the pedal and start all over again. :-[

1st crankbait
I don't believe BK owes you any kind of explanation for doing something completely legal, and his his case (something do you didn't bother to inquire about privately before attempting to interrogate him publicly) completely ethical. 1) I had already backpedalled before you decided to butt in. 2) I know I wasn't the only one who was thinking this so I gave him a chance to redeem himself publicly. 3) Out of respect for this forum and the rules of polite behavior established here, I will refrain from responding in the manner you so obviously wish to elicit.

1st crankbait
Well alright then. I am not an expert but, I think you are on the right track. I have heard that you can either remove the small or skinny ones as you are doing or increase the forage base to improve bass health. From what I know, you can fertilize the water and/or supply feed to help the existing baitfish or add some shad, fatheads, etc. to increase the food supply. You might research the 'net or check out some books or videos to help you. Also, I didn't know it was your lake so I guess it's none of my business. Thanks for being so kind in your reply to my accusation and I hope you figure things out. Good luck.

What do you guys think of this?
Sorry Tipp. I guess if my Dad was a cheater I might be a little more inclined to cut some slack. I didn't mean to insult your Father. I hope it all works out well for everyone involved.

What do you guys think of this?
This is bad news. I'm sorry for you and your friend's girl. If it were me, I would tell him that although I realize it's probably none of my business what he does, do not involve me by using my account. Also, I cannot be friends with a cheater. I have had friends who have cheated on their wives and they are now ex-friends. I just can't do it. Cheaters are not good people and they do not make good friends.

bowfin or blackfish
I'm not trying to get into a contest or anything. What you did was impressive, but I will share as well. I caught a 8.5 lb bowfin last year while targeting crappie. I caught it on an UL spinning setup with 4 lb line and a Roadrunner. I took the boat out into the middle of the lake and just let it wear itself out. it took 10-15 minutes to land it. It was a lot of fun
