Don't mess with a Marine, regardless of age. :)
Police: Teen makes mistake of trying to rob former U.S. Marine Bay City News Service Article Launched: 03/27/2008 10:39:20 AM PDT SANTA ROSA - A boy in his mid-teens learned Wednesday afternoon that it is not a good idea to try to rob a former U.S. Marine at knifepoint, even if the former Marine is 84 years old, police said today. Santa Rosa police Sgt. Steve Bair said that's what happened around 2 p.m. in the 1600 block of Fourth Street. The elderly man was walking with a grocery bag in each arm when the boy approached him with a large knife, Bair said. The boy said, "Old man, give me your wallet or I'll cut you," Bair said. The man told the boy he was a former Marine who fought in three wars and had been threatened with knives and bayonets, Bair said. The man then put his bags on the ground and told the boy that if he stepped closer he would be sorry. When the boy stepped closer, the man kicked him in the groin, knocking him to the sidewalk, Bair said. The ex-Marine picked up his grocery bags and walked home, leaving the boy doubled over, Bair said. The man reported the attempted robbery to police 45 minutes later. Bair said the teen is described only as 15 or 16 years old. Anyone with information is asked to call the Police Department.

UFO's
I've seen some odd things in my life. This one takes the cake. Whether or not it was an alien spacecraft, who knows. Back in '96 I was visiting my folks. They own a small ranch about 20 minutes south of where I live. We had gone out to a late dinner and I was driving my folks back home. If I recall it was in the spring, beautiful night and not a cloud in the sky. When we arrived back at their house my dad went right in but mom and I were admiring the stars as we were walking back to the house. We couldnt believe how many stars were in the sky, and being that they live outside of town with no street lights the sky was alive with stars. Really nice evening. As we walked closer to the house I heard a noise, coming in our direction but oddly it was not a sound that a plane would make. It simply sounded like air being pushed, if that makes any sense. Almost like this "aircraft" was gliding. It passed direcetly over us. I could only make out the perimeter of the craft, which was literaly shaped like a loaf of bread. French Loaf. All joking aside, mom and I just stood there and stared at this thing as it passed over us. It was flying fairly low and again, we could just make out the perimeter of the object and nothing else. No flashing lights of any kind, no lights at all. It appeared to be black in fact. We stood there watching it til we couldnt see it anymore. To this day I have no idea what it was and I will never forget that evening as long as I live. I never called anyone, made any report or anything. What for? And no I wasnt drinking and even though it was fairly late (about 1am) I was wide awake. I know the shape that I saw and it was definitely not a plane. There were no wings at all on this thing. That was evident by the silhoute it created against the stars as it passed over us.

Ultimate fighting? For kids?
I think this goes too far. I'm a huge boxing fan, but honestly not much of a fan of this type of hand to hand combat. I may not have any kids myself but honestly I think it sends the wrong message to our youth. http://sports.aol.com/fighting/story/_a/too-young-for-ultimate-fighting/20080327092109990001?ncid=NWS00010000000001

Daydreaming of being in a different industry.
So this afternoon was quiet for me and I've been thinking, what other idnustry would I like to get involved in? I have a few for sure that I think would be fun. Fashion - whether it be jeans, shirts or whatever. Seems like fun. TV/Movies - would love to be infront or behind the camera. Oil - I know no one in this industry but it seems like an extremely lucrative industry. What about you guys and gals?

No kidding! That place was absolutely amazing. Actually the Gaucho Steakhouse was incredible too, seriously one of the best steak houses I have ever been to. There was 6 of us, we ate like half a cow, had a bottle of wine, drinks, and the bill was less than $200!
