Shimano Stella 2500FB
I just picked up a Stella 1000 for trout. I am now on the hunt for a 2500 as well. Stella's are without equal.

favorit food
Ruth's Chris steakhouse. Their filet mignon rocks! Joe's Stonecrab in Las Vegas. Best stone crab I've ever had. Spanish Paella at Fandango's in Pacific Grove, CA. Unbelievable paella. Shrimp Scampi at La Osteria in Palo Alto, CA. Amazing! Lobster and king crab legs at Fish Market in Santa Clara, CA. The best lobster this side of the US.

Your # 1 rod choice
I second Roadwarrior. For your application, GLX MBR844C is the best choice. Megabass rods are great, but I hear that their customer service leaves alot to be desired. No disrespect meant here Lightninrod-

My BaitMonkey should be satisfied...for now...
Very nice indeed! I'm considering one of the smaller Stella's as well, I have the larger ones that I use for surf fishing. I agree with the wars on Ebay. I am sure that I've bid against a couple guys from this site as well. ;D

More serious baitmonkey action-
NICE stuff there Jetsprint! Gotta love that Steez reel.

Mercury vs Tohatsu
You may want to check with the BBB to see if there have been any complaints filed with that service place. Perhaps a long shot but if there are, that may be the answer to your question - Last thing you want is a motor with a cheap "buy in" if the service is then going to kill you-

New Stratos 176XT
Stratos are great boats for the money from what I have heard. Good luck with the purchase and make sure you post a picture of it when you get it!

Re: Biosonix? Looking at getting one.
If that is true Cabela then it must mean that they work If they do work I can only imagine how useful they wuld be out here in deep lakes, especially fishing for stripers.

Re: Biosonix? Looking at getting one.
I will start searching Ebay - but yes at $700 they aren't cheap.

How many of you would buy a rod sight unseen?
How do you like those Falcon rods Cabela10? The Rio ***** Lodge down in Brazil uses them exclusively, however I brought my own rods with me on the trip.

Just joined - Worst Bass fisherman of all time
Grist, This is, with out a doubt, the best bass fishing site on the web. There are some good people here, although the jury is still out on Avid I recently joined also and am impressed with the brotherhood on this site. Welcome.

Re: Biosonix? Looking at getting one.
Thanks Sam, I'm curious though if anyone here has any experience with the unit. If I do end up getting it I'll keep you posted ;

Re: Biosonix? Looking at getting one.
Has anyone actually fished while they were using this system? What are your thoughts?

Good news - Bad news
Hang tough, but first and foremost, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. The last thing you want is a relapse in pain. Hope to meet you someday

I disagree to a point. Reputable companies like G Loomis don't downgrade their rods - if anything they make their rods better.

How many of you would buy a rod sight unseen?
A Bass Pro Shop is due to open in Manteca in '07. I have a feeling that I'll be spending alot of time there.

How many of you would buy a rod sight unseen?
I do it all the time. I buy rods on Ebay based on what I know - Loomis, and Kistler mainly. I've scored some deals!

Cell phone, man I'm STEAMED!
edbassmaster, I meant no offense to anyone with my post. I've used all the major providers and from my experience, have had issues with all of them, including Cingular. By the way Ed, Is that one of those bluetooth thing-a-ma-jiggers on your ear in your avatar??
