  1. I'm very curious as well, what is the maintenance on that motor?
  2. Thanks for the compliments guys. It's a true blessing to have this boat. As soon as I pick it up - looks like next week since I'm taking a mini vacation this weekend - I'll take some pictures of the boat and tow vehicle together.
  3. I picked up a couple of them at Hi's tackle Box in San Francisco. Cool looking lure, can't wait to try it out.
  4. Even at $600k, that is chump change compared to what other "athletes" make. Until major players like Nike see the benefits to the industry that is. Can you imagine a pair of Nike "Skeet Reese" edition bass boat shoes?
  5. Buzzbaits, frogs, topwaters in general - I tend to wait til I feel the weight of the fish.
  6. Hug? Hell I kissed it! I have my sleeping bag all set to go The H2 is black, I figured all the lights are red and I added big red Brembo brakes so it should match the boat nicely.
  7. Last night I made dinner for my girlfriend. I found this recipe online and the fish came out pretty good! I wont go into details of making the fries, since I am sure most of you here know how to do that 1.5 cups of flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 2 teaspoons McCormicks cajun spice 2 teaspoons tabasco sauce 1 cold beer. 6 filets cod. extra flour for filets vegetable oil for frying filets Preheat oil in deep saucepan, a couple inches of depth is good. Mix flour, baking powder, and cajun spice together in a large bowl. Make a crater in the middle and add beer. Use a swisher to mix ingredients. Add tabasco, swish some more. Once it looks like pancake batter, let it sit in the fridge for a good 15 minutes. Prepare filets by slicing them into strips, about an inch and half across, 3 to 4 inches long. This makes it easier to fry them. Make sure you feel filets for any bones, cutting them out. If you slice filets the long way, the lateral line is where you iwll typically only find the bones. Rinse the filets in water and get a second large bowl with flour in it. Dip the filets in flour then dip the filets in the batter mixture, allowing any excess batter to fall off before you place filets in the hot oil. fry til they are golden brown and have a bowl ready with paper towels or newspaper to let the fish drain any excess oil. enjoy with french fries, tartar sauce, and a nice cold beer.
  8. I went to the Sporstman's Expo in San Mateo and they had a cooler full of HUGE crappie, caught at Clear Lake. I had no idea they got that big! On a side note this one particular booth also had a cooler full of squid as long as my leg! :-?
  9. Definitely a cool looking reel. I think i want one too.
  10. Boga Grip here as well. Get a certifed one, It will be the last scale you buy. Unless you drop it over the side of the boat.
  11. PeterF, I bought the same shoes, can't wait to break them in. And yes, they are very comfortable.
  12. Those are the speakers - They stand out quite a bit so I will probably change the grills to black. I have not picked up a Biosonix, I am hoping my girl gets me one for Valentines day.
  13. I would say mid 70's for sure. It is a big boat so all things considered I would be happy with that speed.
  14. I don't skate, but a buddy of mine does. His name is Kerry Getz. He's a member of my Porsche group. Good guy and he has skills!
  15. I alwaya use a Boga Grip. The less you handle a fish the better.
  16. Welcome to the best board on the net.
  17. Are you related to the bait monkey?
  18. Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'm bummed that it's not in my garage right now, otherwise I'd be loading up all my gear in it. Here are a couple more pics that show the metal flake a little better. Cloudy day doesn't really show off the the finish.
  19. You should have the numbers painted on the boat - You can get them done in colors to match.
  20. Well I went to C & C this morning to check out the boat. I'm in love. It's not ready to pick up though, still waiting on the 26C HD, Boat Buddy and ladder to be installed. I can't wait to get this out on the water.
  21. Excellent post. Sad that our country has changed so much. Mr Sense has been replaced with Miss Liberal.
