Just watched the segment with Skeet, his wife and kids. That has to be tough. I'm not married, but I couldn't imagine being away from my wife, kids, and having that alienation that goes along with it. Like the host said, it's not like these guys are making 6 - 7 million doing this anyway. Tough call if you ask me, especially if your married.

This reminds me of my trip last week to O'Neill Forebay to break in the boat. So I'm getting the boat in the water and my buddy is lowering me in. These two guys come in to the dock in what looks like a 7 foot plastic hull, green plastic lawn chairs duct taped to the floor, a trolling motor rigged to one end with a single battery attached and on the side of the boat, dragging behind a rope, are two stripers that have to be atleast 25 lbs. each. Were getting into the Z22 and feel like schmucks because even though the purpose of the trip was to break in the motor, we've caught no fish .

I don't chew, but I did smoke cigars quite a bit. The thought of getting mouth cancer later in life cured me of the desire to smoke. Nothing is worth that.

I looked at both the 2500 and the 3000 - the difference in size and weight is neglible, but the line capacity difference was enough to make me go for the 3000 - happy I did.

Actually, this boat was taken in by DEA. I have a buddy that works in Florida for a drug task unit, and this particular boat was used to haul drugs. I was looking for a trolling motor in the front but I see nothing... ;D

Very nice touch in my opinion. From what I understand they did buy the lodge at Amistad. I've been invited to go down and take a look at some investment opps down there as well. When I do go I will make sure to report back.
