I'm greatful no one was hurt. I lost my grandmother to a house fire a couple years back. It still hurts whe i think about it. My prayers to his family.

I'm pretty sure that most of us do. If you take a cross section of the majority of the members of this board, we are helpful and willing to go out of our way for fellow members. That, in my book, translates to being responsible when we are on the water.

Shimano Chronarch Question.
3 in and 3 out is a good compromise. I also set the drop speed to where when the lure hits the ground, the spool stops spinning. Once your thumb gets a bit more practice, you can loosen up the drop a bit more.

Need a good rod for a good reel
Never thought I'd say 10 oz was heavy for a reel I'd pair it to a GLoomis 844 GLX.

I've yet to pick up a swimbait. Perhaps because I'd rather catch 40 smaller fish instead of 1 or 2 big ones.
