I saw the sale banner here and bought some items at BPS through BR. I got a good deal, and I understand that we help support the site this way as well.

I'll spend $450 on a reel but no way in hell I will spend $50 for a lure.

Fish are getting bigger. I for one wouldnt be surprised if a larger fish is caught.

I'm pretty sure that most of us do. If you take a cross section of the majority of the members of this board, we are helpful and willing to go out of our way for fellow members. That, in my book, translates to being responsible when we are on the water.

I can tell you that the local walmart has a pathetic amount of fishing tackle. I went once and will never go again -

3 in and 3 out is a good compromise. I also set the drop speed to where when the lure hits the ground, the spool stops spinning. Once your thumb gets a bit more practice, you can loosen up the drop a bit more.

Never thought I'd say 10 oz was heavy for a reel I'd pair it to a GLoomis 844 GLX.

I'm with you on the Zillion. Fantastic reel. Shimano is going to have to step it up.....

I've yet to pick up a swimbait. Perhaps because I'd rather catch 40 smaller fish instead of 1 or 2 big ones.
