  1. I have both, and the Zillion is much smoother and casts MUCH further.
  2. I'd go with a 3000 if the size is similar. Usually they weigh the same but the 3000 has more line capacity.
  3. Yes, Compre or All Star. It's a toss up. You'll be happy either way.

  7. How far from Clear Lake are you? There are several lakes in your region, check with a local tackle shop for recomendations as well. They should be able to tell you where, when, and what to use.
  8. I've found that too much pressure on the fish while it's in the air will usually cause it to come loose. Rod tip at a 45 degree andgle works for me with a taught line.
