Ruth's Chris steakhouse.  Their filet mignon rocks!

Joe's Stonecrab in Las Vegas.  Best stone crab I've ever had.

Spanish Paella at Fandango's in Pacific Grove, CA.  Unbelievable paella.

Shrimp Scampi at La Osteria in Palo Alto, CA.  Amazing!

Lobster and king crab legs at Fish Market in Santa Clara, CA.  The best lobster this side of the US.

Authentic Italian food.......my Grandma's lasagna was the best!   But I wouldn't turn down any of the favorites I've seen here so far

My last name is Thibodeaux that's 100% Cajun and I do my own cooking  8-)

Sauce Piquant, Crawfish Etouffee, Smothered Chicken, Shrimp Creole, & Real Cajun Dirty Rice are my most requested.

Take a fresh caught salmon or steelhead (still has the sea lice on it), split it open, put it on a hot grill, baste it with melted garlic butter and pureed onions.

Man, now I have to go cook,, darn it,  ;D

I've had the steaks there, but I can't say I was all that impressed (thought I didn't have the filet).  I'd much rather Peter Lugers

As for favorite foods:

Mom's Lasagna (She's pretty good for a non-Italian)

Leg of Lamb (loaded with garlic and pepper.  So easy and yet sooooo good)

Pot Roast (always better the second day)

Chicken Alaska (They make this at the restaurant where I bartend; don't know exactly what's in it except a great cream sauce and cheese over chicken breat and linguini)

Grilled Swordfish (I only eat it once a year since its so scarce, but MMMMMMMMM)

Reuben from Carnegie Deli (THE reuben to which all others must live up to)

Now I'm hungry....

Any thing thats dead and covered in tomato sauce. If it is not dead then kill it first nd put it in tomato sauce

Serious Macaroni, Brooklyn Italian style I can eat that 8 days a week Then any Italian food or Cajun food

Pan fried chicken breast, smothered in gravy, with a side of mashed potatoes mixed with corn, and covered with gravy, and a good piece of bread to clean my plate up after im done.

After that I would have to say the same thing, but instead of chicken, id go with a chicken fried steak.

Then a fried egg sandwich w/ bacon on wheat toast.

and last but not least, mom's beef tenderloin w/ a baked tater and brocolli.

GMAN,

For a taste of Italy you need to drive up to The Hill and make a visit to Zia's. Even the_muddy_man would feel at home in that restaurant.

Just about everything my grandmother makes.

I'm also a sucker for a GOOD pastrami sandwich.

And of course you can't go wrong with a good steak, medium/rare - medium of course.

For me an easier question would be what foods do I not like.

If it is edible, I'll eat it.

Except for anything that comes out of water.  I don't eat seafood of any kind, including fish.  Unless the fish is deep fried and batter dipped.  And for those of you who want to quote me and say I don't know what I am missing by not eating seafood, don't bother.  I do know what I am missing, and I am not interested.  Thank you but no.   ;)

I love lots of different foods but if there's one thing I just can't say no to or stop at just one it's a good old fashioned BLT sandwich.  I love those things.

Corky's BBQ Ribs (From Memphis) and warm rolls

Unfortunately I live in ATL so the next best that is kind of close is Soney's BBQ Ribs with the sweet BBQ sauce.

Baby back ribs, hands down.  I also like cheese fries, chicken fingers, and my second utmost favorite, Chinese Food (particuarly the chicken).  On a healthier side, I like oranges and salads.

Ha....that's great...  ;D
