  1. I'm not exactly sure what that means..
  2. Just realized that sorry.
  3. To answer all the suggestions, I think I'll look into a regular PFD for the time being. I don't really have the money for a nice inflatable and I'm not looking to spend over $50-60 in general. I also don't think I'll have too many issues with stability, I'm around 5'10" and under 150 lbs. Should I look into getting a better seat or just some padding? I have some old memory foam lying around, but I don't know that would look just sitting on the seat. I also don't plan to take it out too much until around March, as the water is pretty cold. A dip would also mean losing at least a few things, so I'd probably end up going on quite a few dry runs just to get the hang of kayaking in itself.
  4. Thanks for the pointer and videos, I'll check things out.
  5. So I got a 10' Lifetime Tamarack Angler kayak over the christmas season and I need a few pointers. I know next to nothing about kayaking at this point and I have a few questions. First being a PDF. What should I look for, inflatable, regular? The second just overall fishing from a yak. What things I should do/ not do, how should I outfit it, what to look out for, how to land fish, just pointers in general. And one more thing, is a fish finder something I should seriously consider getting, that is it going to change the way I fish?
  6. Flipping is also often used as a last second censor, at least in my case.
  7. And I'm out here freezing in 50° weather(plus 20 mph winds). Kinda glad it doesn't get cold all that often here. (Disclaimer- I caught absolutely nothing except numb hands)
  8. You can cast into almost any pond in this area and have a good chance that something bites. The problem is finding the big uns.
  9. If you're looking to just add music and such I would suggest Wondershare Filmora. It's a very simple and easy to use program, editing couldn't be any simpler. The free version does exports videos with a watermark but there's an easy workaround. My 0.02 cents. Edit- The less advisable route is to get a cracked copy of a professional program (vegas, ADP, etc) , though I do not recommend or endorse it.
  10. So basically it all boils down to how you're working the lure and what the fish want?
  11. This seems like a pretty weird rabbit hole, what thread is even worse?
  12. Thanks for all the input guys, it help alot.
  13. I didn't fish during the big cold front we had like 2 weeks ago, but you're saying that if I had gone fishing I would have been completely skunked? The thing with florida weather during the "winter" is inconsistency. It could be 80° one day and 60° the next. Unless you count 2010, I can't really remember when we've had consistent cold weather. How do you work with weather like this and how it raises/kills the drive?
  14. I know that, I meant to write 30 degree range
  15. I have a few questions. To start out, there are a few retention ponds I fish and according to a thermometer the water is around 70 degrees. What is the ideal feeding temperature range for florida strain LMB, meaning when they are the most active and aggressive? I know florida bass are more sensitive to temperature changes, so I'm trying to figure things out. Also, how cold is too cold down here? I know people fish for LMB in 30 degree water up north but what about here? Thanks for any help
  16. I haven't caught one yet, but based on previous replies, I'd say I'm in the right state.
  17. Based on the lures you've listed do you mean a spinning rod?
  18. If it moves when it's not supposed to move, use duct tape. If it doesn't move when it's supposed to move, use WD-40.
  19. you forgot - a 300 dolur geft cord fer Tackle Warhese
  20. I haven't been fishing for that long but I can at least tell the difference between a LMB and a catfish.
  21. This is a picture I found on google. If you say you caught alot of fish and you don't have a bass thumb, then you're either a horrible liar or great at handling fish.
